I tried, I really did.
I always go into movies with a positive mindset and a genuine desire to overlook any foibles and try to find the entertainment value. With this one, it was just too much of a stretch. It's just one more example of a whole series of movies in the 2000s and 2010s where they tried to do an epic disaster film on a shoestring budget, and wound up with exactly what you'd expect.
And it could have been 5 of 6 stars ...
Okay. I like these 'B' movies. But I almost quit watching this one twice. Fortunately, the fast-forward button on my remote allowed me to get past the gratuitous sex scenes, which, by the way, were L then G and near the beginning. Once past that, the movie became what I expected, which is why it got three stars. The bad guys versus the really good guys who have to save the world. NOTE to producers & directors -- THAT is what people wanted to watch. Producers/directors -- you want better ratings for your movies. Stop putting scenes in the movies that have NOTHING to do with the plot! In this movie, it was sex scenes. It added NOTHING to the movie.
Not bad at all
This was not a bad movie if you set your expectations off low budget films right. Yes some off the acting wasn't great at times and yes there was some inaccurate scientific details but despite that it was an enjoyable film, the special effects were not too bad I've seen way worse in higher rated movies!. I enjoyed it, didn't find it boring at all but again i had realistic expectations. I see alot off bad reviews but i guess these people have only ever watched box office hits. Is it perfect? No. But despite the problems I've stated it was a an enjoyable movie. Would definitely be worth a watch.
awful!
A meteorite from outer space collides with a human space station called Hyperion, killing immediately 12 astronauts from the NASA. More meteors are falling on Earth, causing terrible damages in the cities. A scientist is investigating why the warnings regarding the dangerous trajectory of the meteorites were hidden, causing the accident to happen.
The plot of this film could be the basis for a good 70's-like disaster movie, or a post-2001 conspiracy film. Unfortunately, the acting is awful, the script is horrible, and the art direction is terrible. Did I mention the extremely bad acting?
It looks like a TV drama, but it worst than that. Stay away from this film.

Not worth watching
Your life will be no better having watching this movie. Well, unless you are a fan of stiff acting, cliché dialog, cheesy and nonsensical special effects, plot holes, shaky cameras, pointless pretty boys, and bad decisions.
One example: the meteors come in from multiple angles, which makes zero sense.
You have been warned.

- TriviaThis film is not related to the novel 'The Fall of Hyperion' by Dan Simmons, or any of his Hyperion saga, a science fiction epic series set in the 29th century.
- GoofsThey stated that the space station was in Geo Synchronous orbit. The space station is not in GEOSYNC orbit but orbits at about 200 miles up making an orbit about every 90 minutes. GEOSYNC orbit is about 22,000 miles up. The images of the space station in the movie show its orbit to be low earth orbit.
