The Lothario

When the wife of a powerful businessman is shot to death on the bed of a spa, the CBI is assigned to investigate the case. Soon they find that she was an unfaithful wife having a love affair with a lover that is identified as Paul Fricke. The cheated husband becomes their prime suspect, but Patrick plots a plan with CBI agents to catch the killer.

"Crimson Casanova" is so far the funniest episode of "The Mentalist". The plot has many twists, and greater participation of the CBI agents. The undercover agent Kimball Cho posing of a successful womanizer and agent Wayne Rigsby asking for tips to Paul Fricke are hilarious moments. The conclusion is also satisfactory. My vote is eight.

Goofs
For flicking Wolcutt's nose, Lisbon says that Patrick assaulted him. Technically, he committed battery; while it's a thin line, assault is the attempt or threat to cause physical injury, and battery is when such contact is actually made.
