My favorite episode of season 5

The events that Sam and his older brother Dean experience while being trapped in the television world are quite entertaining, and even though I've watched it many times, I still have a fit of laughter every time. One of the best episodes with its parody beginning, music and amazing performance of the actors:-)

Trickster! He plays with the Winchester brothers, but he has to be careful who he plays with.

Dean's buddy Castiel also contributes to this fun episode. It is necessary to appreciate such incredibly enjoyable and unforgettable episodes. Very cleverly well prepared and directed.

Wonderful performances by all and shows up the comedic talent of the writers and director. The hospital show, Dr Sexy, what's more of the most hilarious scenes ever. Anytime Richard Speight Jr shows up I'm never disappointed.

Dean and Sam come to Ohio and out of the blue, they find that they are trapped in TV land by the Trickster. The powerful being explains to them that they need to participate in the TV show parodies; otherwise they will be strand in TV Land for the rest of their lives. When Castiel comes to the show, the Winchester's brothers believe that the Trickster might not be who they think he is.

"Changing Channels" is one of the silliest episodes of Supernatural. The spoof of a soap opera, a game show, a TV series and a commercial is not funny and the conclusion with the revelation of the true identity of the Trickster is unexpected and intriguing for an angel with such weird powers. My vote is seven.

The best part of this episode is its not just a standalone crazy one, though if it was that would be totally fine, it's just a level up when it ties in so well with the main plot, and to think the writers weren't planning this since seaoson 1. All hail the trickster.

I love how Supernatural makes fun of other subjects, whether it makes parodies of classic monster movies, ghost reality-shows, and actual TV shows as shown here. This has got to be the best of all of the parodies Supernatural does. I love how it took a stab at Grey's Anatomy (the joke about ghosts in a hospital show was incredible) and crime shows like CSI. Above that, the opening segment of the sitcom was the funniest, because it was so unexpected. However, we do get some mythology subplots in here, and important information is revealed that makes the show seem to all fit in place. Incredible episode, best yet of the season!
