    Wedding ring

I found it strange that Marshall was wearing his wedding ring on his right hand in the scenes in the bar.

    Cheesy, but good.

Although this is a good show, I sometimes find myself waiting for something to laugh at. I laughed at this, even if it was cheesy at times. Ted's poem was the perfect comeback to Barney.

It's a comedy show! And this has it in spades.

I'd give this episode 10 for Marshall's photo montages alone! That aside, it's a very funny episode, one of those that doesn't affect the flow of the story but makes you laugh... A lot.

The whole show is littered with these inconsequential episodes, some aren't great, some are fantastic.

If the focus was always on the character's development it would be a wishy washy drama... Enjoy these episodes for what they are... A lot of fun.

    • Trivia
Itwasthebestnightever.com was an actual internet page featuring photos from the double date night and a black and white video of Jason Segel performing the song "Best Night Ever".
    • Goofs
During the music montage of "All by Ourselves", when Barney and Robin are walking outside McLaren's, the wooden base of a clearly prop grass patch around a tree is visible protruding from the sidewalk.

Ted Mosby: Hey, Barney. I got a little poem for you. You want to hear it?

      Barney Stinson: No, not really.

Ted Mosby: [starts reciting regardless] T'was the night before, I had hours to kill. I sat in the tavern, grading parchments with quill.

      Barney Stinson: [interrupts] With quill?

Ted Mosby: [explaining with sarcasm] Barney. It's a poem.

Ted Mosby: [contines] A busty, young lassie flashed me a grin. Her garb said "classy," but her eyes whispered "sin." She said, "you're a teacher?" I said, "yes, indeed." "I must have you," she moaned. "I'm turned on by tweed." With haste we did scamper To my chamber anon. We fell to the couch, and, bro, it was on. I unlaced her bodice. Our passions grew deeper. And thus ends the tale of the sexless innkeeper.
