I think everyone's problem with the new version of Two and a Half Men is just that they cannot throw out the old, and welcome the new.
I personally think, Ashton Kutcher has brought in quite a bit of color to the usual mundane, dark, cynical plot in this show. Albeit, that's what Two and a Half Men is supposed to be, still Kutcher's character is what the show really needs to spark it up further. All I'm saying is, give it a little bit more time. It will pick up.
The jokes are still funny, and Alan, Jake, Rose (though I'm not sure if she's going to be a cast regular now), Bertha are still the heart of the show. We're all just judging too quickly, and all 'Charlie Harper' fans are still bitter of his demise. In all honesty, how much more of drinking, and frolicking with one girl after another can bring in the laughs? Eventually, that'll just go to the bin too. Maybe it's a blessing that Sheen isn't in it anymore. Give Kutcher a chance, pretty sure he can sway some of the negative opinions and pick up a few more fans. I really don't want this show to be canceled. I'm a HUGE fan.

Watching this episode and reading other reviews about not being Two and a "Half" Men since Jake is not a kid anymore, it stroke to me... The "half man" is Walden... and since in previous season Jake has two girls in his room for the night, it seems to me that the writers had a weird idea to make this turn...
Watching again the opening titles, you have Jake in the position of Charlie, Alan to the right and the "half man" Walden as a replacement of the kid Jake...
As a plan on paper sounds an interesting idea to have Jake becoming "Charlie" and a grown man acting like a kid, but to reality it's not working at all...

Now that the hype of Ashton Kutcher's arrival on the show has died down, the weakness of the writing and Kutcher's acting are revealed. It takes more than being naked to maintain a lead character. You have to make the character believable, and draw some kind of emotion from the audience. Kutcher's one dimensional style does not evoke any sympathy, empathy or, well anything, from this writer. I simply don't care, and I prefer the scenes where Kutcher is not present.
Even solid performances from the supporting cast, particularly Jon Cryer, Holland Taylor and Conchata Ferrell are unlikely to save this show. It wouldn't have been any better with Charlie Sheen. The show has simply run its course. If this is Chuck Lorre's way of saying "up yours" to Sheen, he has failed miserably. It's time to pull the plug on this unfunny show.

The show is getting weaker day by day, episode by episode.
#9.1 was just an average episode.
#9.2 was an improvement over the previous one.
#9.3 absolute failure.
Humor is missing, no strong one liners or any exceptional punches. Even though Jon Cryer is trying his best, still its not sufficient to keep up the image of the series. The show is definitely losing its charm without Charlie. I don't know what got into Chuck Lorre's mind when he replaced a character like Charlie with a dumb character Walden.
They are lowering their standards to keep up the charisma of the series but have failed instead. A boy filming his mother while she is making out with a guy, and Ashton Kutcher had to strip down in the season premier. Seriously, this is not going to work very long. I might discontinue watching it if it doesn't improve in time.
2/10 is all i can give for this stuff, and the show is gonna crash very soon.

I wrote " the show has changed and it will be another show but maybe it will be anyway watchable", OK, in part I was right and in part wrong. That's right the show is another show, wrong: Maybe this show will be anyway watchable. This show is becoming unwatchable. To check if the audience still like it in the same way I took a stupid parameter: votes of the 3rd episodes of all the seasons on IMDb. Let's see: Season 1,Episode 3 7.5/10 Season 2, Episode 3 7.8/10 Season 3, Episode 3 7.6/10 Season 4, Episode 3 7.4/10 Season 5, Episode 3 7.6/10 Season 6, Episode 3 7.8/10 Season 7, Episode 3 7.6/10 Season 8, Episode 3 7.7/10 Season 9, Episode 3 5.0/10 As you read, in all the paste seasons the lower vote is 7.4, the 3rd of this seasons is 2.3 lower. Let's see how the audience voted on this season:
Season 8, Episode 3 7.7/10
Season 9, Episode 1 7.0/10 Season 9, Episode 2 6.0/10 Season 9, Episode 3 5.0/10
MMMMM !! The fall is fast and becoming furious although the reintroduction of Jake and Judith. The problem is that now nothing works. Alan is getting older and more pathetic, Walden looks really too dumb and is boring. Not guests as "Charlie's girls" (someone very funny like Alan's second wife) and Evelyn's lovers.Even Berta is no more funny. Aiaiai! In the past I was admiring Chuck Lorre a lot for his genial creations and I started to watch Big Bang Theory only because was a Lorre's creation. I did not like C.Sheen till I watched him in this show and for longtime I thought that the script and the directors were deserving its success. WRONG ! Unbelievable but Charlie was the only column of this show as Jim Parson in BBT. So we have to accept that Sheen is more than winner he is WINNER !
Season 8, Episode 3 7.7/10
Season 9, Episode 1 7.0/10 Season 9, Episode 2 6.0/10 Season 9, Episode 3 5.0/10
