I just finished this episode and immediately came here to check its ratings. I didn't disappoint. You'll not feel bored for a single atomic second also. This episode can be shown to anyone who even haven't seen TBBT. 'RUN' to watch it.

The Scavenger Vortex

Part of the fun of this show isn't the fact that isn't like 'Friends' where there's big emotional storylines or a large on-going thread. You can drop in and out of this sitcom and largely you'll find the characters where you left them.

This episode has a simple premise, but executes it well, in part because the characters are so well defined by this point that we know that any combination of them together will result in good comedic potential.

I thought this episode as a fun one, and it allowed all the characters and indeed the actors playing them, the change to have fun.

Fun is good, this show offers that.

Trivia
While riding with Howard, Amy looks through his MP3 player and makes fun of him for listening to 'Weird Al' Yankovic. Contrarily, Mayim Bialik is actually a huge Weird Al fan. (This clip has been used during "Weird Al" concerts.)

Goofs
After choosing teams, Sheldon asks Penny if she knows what the odds are of picking her name out the hat. After she says "No", he replies "It's not hard, one in five." However that is the probability of choosing her name out of the hat, not the odds. Odds are the probability of an event occurring relative to them not occurring. In this case the odds would have been 1/4 or 0.25.
