Dji. Death Sails

at first sigh, it could remind the stories about death in amusing manner, as a kind of exorcism. at the second, it is only a silly animation. a childish version of death, a pirate, his gold and his presence in a saloon, the run. and nothing more. sure, maybe, for young public is a nice show. but if you expect more than fun at basic level, you are not very lucky.

This is a humorous animated short about Death's attempt to collect the soul of a sailor who survived a shipwreck. The sailor is drifting alone on the open sea on a raft, with only a treasure chest for company.

At its core, the film explores greed-showing how some people cling to their wealth and earthly possessions even in their final moments, despite the fact that none of it can be taken to the afterlife. But in this story, things don't go as expected. Death becomes a little too playful and loses focus on his mission, giving the dying man an unexpected advantage.

One thing leads to another, and the situation escalates-culminating in a surprising ending. The Irish dance between the two characters during the end credits was a delightful and amusing touch.
