The movie has several good lines for dialogs and monologs, mostly for John James, who delivers greatly (the only one here), but otherwise it is...trash.
Sean Young, most beautiful Replicant of all time, in a sorry role, trying to make the best of it, which is...not much.
John James' (the bad guy) daughter (Kate) is nice to watch and may have a nice future as an actress.
To be fair, after thinking the movie is from the 1980s or early 90s (actually it's from 2020), I thought the director must be either 16, or coming from cheap shows of that era, or simply is an amateur.
Actors can only save a part of a movie, not the whole thing...and if the director is incompetent, a movie is doomed. The director here made mostly C-films, and this is his last one until today. Hopefully it stays that way.
In this case, I have to agree with the low rating of 4. It's not a comedy, not a farce, barely a homage, and it is too brutal for a family movie. There are enough Youtube-only movies on a higher level than this one, even in a professional sense.
But don't get me wrong, if you are missing cheesy action comedies from the 80s, this will give you a warm vintage feeling of a lost era, but ported into 2020, and most certainly it is the right film for you.

I didnt know they made films of this genre anymore, so if youre a time travel nerd, you might like it, i didnt
its a actioncomedy of low quality acting, basic filmography, a done for a nickel score, boiling and headless action, terrible staging and stand in front of a green wall way of exterior filming. if this where made in 1981, i woudve raised an eyebrow or two, but not today. the only thing raising the score are some neat driving action with alot of crashing and tyre squeeling
the grumpy old man are not impressed, its a no recommend

The concept of the Axcellerator device and how it focuses intent is pretty interesting. Most of the acting was pretty decent (and the acting that was subpar really didn't subtract anything as it seemed appropriate for this kind of movie). The special effects were pretty darn bad, but didn't really take away from the story. Some of the locations that ended up as greenscreen backgrounds boggle the mind. They couldn't actually get the two leads to do a scene in front of a real supermarket?
Anyway, as far as cheaply executed action movies go, this was pretty enjoyable.

A few days ago this movie was rated 6.5, I guess by the people in it and their friends. It looks like I wanted to learn how to make a movie and went googling for a while and then gathered bunch of friends to start shooting. Apart from the movie appeared to be made on a green wall half of the time, poor acting from Ryan Wesen and Laura James made me stop watching after 22 min.
I gave 3 stars out of respect for the effort and time they spent in creating this... this.
I don't recommend watching.
This movie has some decent acting. The special effects are pretty good and the plot is pretty enjoyable. For a netfix movie, it was worth watching.
