No offence I am all for supporting people doing what they can to succeed but this couple is beyond annoying. The girls voice is like nails on a chalkboard - I change the channel every time they come on hoping they will not get another season. Best wishes in life for these two - I don't wish bad on them or anything - they are cute and seem to have good ideas on what they're doing but I do not think they are hgtv material.
I didn't like this show at first either. I thought some of their designs were over the top (the purple condo, the gold condo) BUT they do sell fast so Aubrey obviously knows her market. That being said, if you watch more than just 2 episodes of the show, you can see they're actually quite versatile. I loved fixer upper but nearly each house looked the same and didn't find them versatile at all. She knows when to tone it down. I think they're both pretty talented, just need to get more comfortable doing this on camera! The comments about her voice are just mean. She can't help it, and it's really not that bad.
I can't believe all the negative reviews!! I'm a Flip or Flop fan, and Tarek and Christina are a tough act to follow, but I enjoy Aubrey and Bristol. I like Aubrey's designs and like Christina, she's so confident in her design choices. Tarek and Bristol are lucky guys! I'll be watching Flip or Flop Vegas every week.
I just found the 'Flip or Flop' franchise of shows a month or so back and I have to say that I enjoy the basics here. I like that they do budget friendly flips. Not everyone can afford half-a-million dollar homes. Some of the homes they flip can be a little odd. But, we all have different tastes. The things I don't like about the show are basically co-host related. The lady flipper has a voice that makes my ears hurt (they could auto-tune it in production). And, it seems like she never learned to apply her makeup properly for her skin tone. She often takes me back to my childhood days when she gets out of her tiny car and I look back expecting 13 more colorful ladies/gents to be climbing out. Other than those things, I like the show.
I don't disagree that Aubrey's voice is a little high pitched but it's her voice...not like she can change it. I like the fact that this show is not as fake and scripted as Tarek and Christina have come to be. Christina's direct talking to cameras is always so stiff and obvious she is reading form a card. Aubrey designs for the buyers in Vegas. It may not be your taste but she gets good feedback from Realtors and sells houses. Some of her designs are a bit much for anywhere else but again...this is VEGAS!! I believe she knows more about costs and materials and the renovation budgets just seem ridiculous because people are used to watching Tarek and Christina spend 60K on every house. Once again it is a market difference. All these people hating on the show don't seem to understand that difference. Anyway, please HGTV don't ruin the show by making the silly scripted moments like people dropping granite counters and bathtubs "Oh My!" Or cars getting stolen from in front of the house like on Flip or Flop original. As for them not putting their kids on the show, that is a responsible parenting decision and I fully support them. How well has the limelight worked out for Tarek and Christina???? Maybe these two actually have a clue about how to handle things and people just cant stand there isn't more drama. I, for one, prefer to watch a nice 30 minutes of a house coming to life without all the BS drama and fake stuff. Keep it up Aubrey and Bristol! You are fun to watch.
