Whatever you are by Anja van der Form

Hi dear creative friends, although we already are some weeks into 2024, I would like to wish you the best and happiest creative year. I started my first inspiration using my first love when it comes to mediums. Finnabairs micapowder, they are so versatile, you just have to love them.

Winter brush by Lanette Erickson

Hello All, You Amazing Creative People!

Today I am sharing an altered paintbrush that was inspired by the recent cold winter night we have been experiencing here in Michigan.

I started altering this brush with a mix of Resin pieces. After adhering all the resin bits using 3D Gloss Gel, I gave everything a quick coat of black gesso. Next, I brought back the details with a bit of white gesso and Finn's amazing wax.

I finished off my brush with a handful of flowers, chipboard and lots of glitter! I am pretty happy with how this brush turned out, I really like the mix of dark and light. I hope you do too!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope I have inspired you in some small way to spend some creative time in your art space and maybe even create something pretty.

Until next time, Hugs & Have fun creating!

-Lanette

Clockwork Sparrows Duet by Anja van der Form

Moulds and more moulds, I think we all love them. Possibilities are endless, how did we survive without them? I mean you can cast as much as you want and use them in so many projects. My favourite ones from Finnabair's last release are on this canvas. Those cool-looking sparrows and the amazingly versatile lightbulbs.

Halloween-themed creation by Marietta Tegi

Hello Everyone!

Today's creation is Halloween-themed, so it won't be left out this year.

As for the colours, even Wednesday might like to keep it on her shelf. :D

I glued old book pages to the base with soft matte gel and washi tape. Where there was no paper I covered it with black gesso, and the paper with clear gesso.

I stencilled with black gesso, then used a white gesso with a dry brush to highlight the edges and stencil.

I first painted the area under the rim of the glass with White Pearl acrylic paint, splashing more water on it to make the colour less intense. I then used liquid acrylic paints in the following shades: Ink Black, Burnt Sienna and Purple.

I used Ink Black acrylics for both the bone mould elements and the skulls.

The demonic chipboard elements were painted with purple liquid acrylic, geared chipboard elements with raven black sparks acrylic. I found burnt sienna suitable for the gear mould elements.

I used metal elements from Finnabair and Mitform Castings to brighten up the creation.

Finally; I sprinkled some granular decorative elements on the top and stamped a little.

Have a nice day

Marietta
