| Hello I know there is a name for usual sitting name "Seiza" and there is another way, mostly for young girls Named "Wariza" Also known as "W Sitting" But I wonder if there is name for this kind of sitting pose, Half Wariza maybe...? | hmmm if the angle leg was over the knee on the ground it would be a half lotus sitting position. I dont know if it has a name though. maybe something like "half open lotus" ? |
| If foot is underneath the butt it's tatehiza 立て膝 but if sitting on floor and leg outside I have no clue but if this is accurate the pose is similar to utahiza but I can't find any sources backing this up because I can't guess the kanji. If you look up tatehiza you mainly wind up seeing samurai but it seems how Japanese use the term is more loosely defined so search using the kanji. |
