| This post is so cringe. Typical of a CSM twerker to interpret Denji's shallowness and lack of a brain cell as unique. Anti-shonen protagonist mis cojones. A common trope in shonen is having thick protagonists. I can confidently say that he is one of the dumber ones and the way he carries himself is certainly not unique or genre-defining. He's not the first self-insert character and he won't be the last so don't put him on a weird pedestal. If you're looking for anti-shonen series that are actually different from typical shonen anime/manga with less dumb characters, battle-focused protagonists, and inevitable final fight, look no further than the likes of Promised Neverland and dem man. CSM is not that. It might show signs of it from time to time but it very much errs on the side of typical shonen, which I admit is not exactly a bad thing. |
