The story is really great because it has true topics that nobody speaks so openly about them, like the discrimination to other people for their experience, bully abuse, the pressure of the social media nowadays and others. This story has drama, comedy, mystery and some chapters are even wicked.
The characters are developed so good because each one of them have an important role in the story, even the bad ones has a good background story and with the story progress you can understand more about their actions.
The art is pretty good and like in other webtoons it has color.

A lot of people seems to dislike this manhwa because of the bad storyline. It does, in the first half of the beginning. But the story is getting better and better over the time. I almost didn't read this because the (extremely short) synopsis of the story really turned me off. "Oh great, a story about how an unattractive and unpopular guy magically turns into a hot guy and gets all of the girls and his life is great - what a great message....NOT". I am glad that I gave into the high reviews and gave the story a shot, though, because my initial impression could not have been any more wrong.

Story 10/10 (minor spoiler here) This comic starts with the story of a fat dude that gets bullied a lot. The storyline is really confusing about where to go in the first chapters, it really makes the reader discontinue reading the comic. Interesting, the pleasant and sometimes hard reading surprised me and made love this work .... steady development, characters characterized, real situations, strong themes treated without fear, this manhwa has all the cards to become a masterpiece. I think I love this story very much because it had a lot of different stories about what other people are doing and not just what the mc is doing. I also really liked how there was a lot of action then expected and really made me in tears. These was my first webtoon and I’m in love with Lookism. This is story is also very realistic to the world since all around the world people are getting bullied and fat-shamed and in Lookism it really captures it. I also really liked on how everybody’s connection with getting bullied brought them together.

This anime and manga is absolutely fantastic, it discusses bullying and so much more. if netflix doesnt make a season 2, i will cancel my subscription.
the art style is so good as well. the plot is something not many talk about. Korea is notorious for bullying when it comes to looks and this right here, brings out the importance of it. i think people who love animes or even kdramas based in high school or universities, will 100% LOVE THIS. most of these reviews say lookism is generic and just full of moments where daniel fights people and helps the weak. but daniel himself is still weak minded. no matter what, daniel's mind will always go back to those days and he'll always feel terrible over what his mother did for him.
not to mention the addition of crystal's father, big 4 crew and james lee opened so many more doors in the story. most of these bad reviews are from before the chapters where the most exciting part of the whole series is introduced. if i were you, i'd definitely read lookism. a really good story ... My biggest problem with this series is that the characters have almost become caricatures of themselves. Despite the stereotypical drama everyone starts off with, it really does bring you in to care about the characters. As the plot goes on, they start to lose the feel of who they are ever so slightly like a small itch that doesn't go away.

Lookism. Out of the two manhwas I've read this one far surpasses the first. On the surface it seems like a simple story about Daniel Park who gets bullied for being overweight. (8/10) I came across this gem a few years ago and have been keeping up with it ever since. I really enjoyed the topic it explores, the characters, the art style, and especially the fight scenes. Lookism is basically hot men fighting each other with a thrilling concept of gang fights and certain plots at every corner. Highly enjoyable, and recommend it.
Art style is highly based as you continue reading and everything becomes perfect as you go on reading the story, everything can happen and its very enjoyable.
