Synopsis

Fifty nationally ranked middle school tennis players receive an invitation to join the Japan U-17 training camp—an exclusive tennis camp that was previously open only to high school players. Amongst the recipients is tennis prodigy Ryouma Echizen and his teammates of the Seishun Academy Boys' Tennis Team. In the camp, the middle schoolers come across many strong opponents as they become intertwined with the camp's hierarchy system. They soon find themselves fighting against the high schoolers—and among themselves—for a spot in the camp as well as the top 20. With the U-17 World Cup around the corner, it is a battle to see who will represent Japan on the world stage.

Shin Tennis no Oujisama depicts the players' resolute endeavors as their tennis skills continue to reach new heights while also learning the meaning of perseverance and resilience. With countries stronger than Japan awaiting them at the U-17 World Cup, the determined tennis players must find a way to work together and ultimately come out on top.

The New Prince of Tennis is a comedy masterpiece, and all of you are wrong.

In the original Prince of Tennis, the manga gets a bad rap for losing control of its identity and puttering out. In my opinion, it changed genres at around the 200 chapter mark, turning from a sports shounen into a tennis comedy. Superpowers begins to appear, and it became almost impossible for me to take the story seriously. The transformation from middling sports shounen to incredible comedy could not have been a better change for the story. The contrast between the increasingly superhuman "tennis" feats and how straight the story ...

May i take the job of writing an updated review for this manga that appears almost dead in MAL but still lives on tenipuri fans.

Story: First with 9 / Now 6
As we expect, Konomi did an awesome work when introducing ourselves to what was the beggining a new journey for the mid-schoolers, but as i did say, the awesome work was done at the beggining, but the farthest the manga gets, the worse the story becomes. It came from building up all characters and it's abilities to ridiculously powers-up that comes out from nowhere. New characters are not well developed as there are many, and ...

new prince of tennis is the sequel to the first but to me falls short of its prequel.

story: 5/10
i dont give the story a good score because it has no plot at this point. i understand the fact of japan trying to put together this all star team of tennis players but right now there is a bunch of prelims that are too piecey. im not exactly sure who is the main character for the fact that its call NEW prince of tennis so it sort of suggests ryoma may not be the main protagonist and the lack of ryoma's appearance makes me believe ...
