Like the other reviewer said, this is honestly a super underrated series that should be more popular than it is. I actually personally thought this was a bit of a slow starter - I was a little bored in the early chapters, but man does it pick up. (Also, part of that was I wasn't the biggest fan of the initial art style, but it gets a lot better after a couple of arcs)
MC isn't OP from the get-go - he definitely makes a lot of mistakes and it's clear he's inexperienced in the beginning, which makes it all the more satisfying to see
...
him grow and mature - great character development. I like the limitations of hosu's ability - it is somewhat cheat, but not a perfect one, bc he can't see too far off, depending on how stressed he is (which in turn is bad for his body) so he usually only sees things right before they happen
Reading this, it's really impressive how much research the author must've done - interviews with actual firefighters, visiting stations, etc. Really good balance of action and more character-driven moment - the other reviewer mentioned that other characters are overshadowed by the main character, but that really isn't the case though it might've seemed like it in the early chapters. 1 Second has a really good cast of supporting characters, especially once MC joins Sigwang Special Services (dw this is not a spoiler, since you'll know from the prologue he'd join eventually) - really great character dynamics, and funny banter, especially between the two co-leaders do-yun and i-geon. great crew there, and i-geon is hands down my favorite character in the series; he and do-yun are absolutely hilarious together, great dynamic there. it's so funny to me how despite Hosu being the one with a future-seeing ability, i-geon will forever remain do-yun's number one headache haha
All in all, I highly recommend giving this one a try. This is the first - and only - manhwa I have spent to get coins for. I give it a 9.5/10, and that only because I've literally never given out a 10 (a 'perfect' manhwa). This definitely gets really really close, though
