This review for me is difficult because this was one of the OI manhwas I had stored in the shelves as a must read due to the amount of great reviews it has. However, I quickly came to realize that the fact that some people called this work a "masterpiece" was nothing but hogwash. The story started off amazing, I would say the first 20 chapters or so. The premise was amazing, the introduction of the characters and everything else. After the fated "Massacre" occurs, the story takes a nosedive. It just becomes.....boring. Almost like the author didn't know where to take the story. The
...
plot went on vacation.....and never came back.
The art: 8/10. The art is amazing without a shadow of doubt. I love the way the ML is drawn too.
The characters: 7/10 The characters are also well done. I can see why a lot of people love the ML. I personally also loved the FL's personality as well, it was a nice balance and contrast to the ML's.
The plot: 2/10. I lost interest by chapter 35 and could no longer find the motivation to keep reading. I skipped ahead to further chapters (chapter 100+) to find something that would interest me enough to keep going but alas...I dropped it anyways.
While my review of the story is that I would rather count each grain of sand on every beach in the world than to keep reading, there are a lot of people who for some strange reason, enjoy this story. The premise was good, but the execution fell flat after the first arc.
