Synopsis

Tasuku is in love with his "cool and mysterious" neighbor, Shia. She's three years older than him, a big film buff, and doesn't like him back. The two get together to watch movies every Wednesday, but no matter how many times Tasuku attempts to use these meetups to profess his love for her, Shia sends him right back into the friend zone. Can Tasuku prove himself a mature and capable boyfriend? And what secrets is Shia hiding behind her smiley demeanor?

I don't really right reviews but if feel like this show really inspired to just go for it and just give it a shot. So, I read this manga in one sitting. That's just a good it was for me, granted that it was 50 though. I came into this show just looking for a simple light hearted and I got just that with a few interesting stuff I feel like made it stand out from the first. I think the best way to explain the charm of this series is to contrast it with the authors other work, "the girl I like forgot her glasses", which is a fun, incredibly fluffy romcom with a slightly annoying mc- you have seen similar a thousand times.

This is absolutely none of those things, except for it also being romance. This manga is unique, its fascinating, its enthralling, it's almost fluffless (something that shoudlb e impossible for a romcom that isn't a drama), it's clever, it's refreshing, especially the mc, it's well written, it is just so fucking good.

Mixed Feelings
I put this at mixed feelings not because I think that it is poorly written, but because it's a bit strange- for a romance manga. If you seen the author's other works, most notably "The Girl I like Forgot Her Glasses", and you liked that and wanted something like it, then stop and go read something else. This is very different from that, I'm not sure if the author usually writes in this way, because, I only saw the anime for the first title (haven't gotten around to finishing the manga).
