So, when I found the manga it was in an entire different language than from the one I speak, and read. (In Vietnamese) I mostly used the images drawn, how the speech bubbles, and the characters faces to make an inference on what the story could be about. Essentially from what I gathered, op is a serial killer, who forms a loving or deep friendship with his victims. He takes their bodies to a cabin in a snowy forest, but he has the tendency to forget what he has done. A female detective confronts, and implement psychological warfare to get a confession out of him.
...
Again, I do not speak Vietnamese so, I could be entirely misrepresenting the story.
The art style does a good job in showing the emotions of each character. The serial killer being nervous, anxious, scared, and then desperately crazy. The detective being able to see his lies, and break him down psychologically to get a confession. I think the ending is either about one of his victims escaping, and feeling at peace for coming to the snow cabin, or related to the main female victim in some way. Either way, her having the moment to be at peace, and okay (maybe?) with had happened is a nice touch. The gore wasn't frightening (I've seen better) but it was definitely wowing, it was something I wasn't fully expecting.
Overall, I don't know how I really, truly feel about Sounan Psycho because again for the last time. I don't speak, or read Vietnamese. I was only able to somewhat, make an educated guess on what the story is about from what I could use. Leaving me with mixed feelings. Hopefully, if I ever get the chance to learn Vietnamese, I'll give a new or updated review over this manga, or maybe I'll actually find an English version.
