:D I hope you get to catch it in cinema. I'm going to see the movie again not even a week later and alone this time, which I've never done before. It was that enjoyable! I also picked up the manga because of the movie. They really did a fantastic job with this arc

That's the reason why I put off watching a lot of new gen animes. Everyone hyped Demon Slayer so much, but it was so boring. I was worried it'd be the same with CSM, and while the story isn't groundbreaking, it was promising and interesting enough for me to want to keep watching it (and the movie was great storytelling wise and the ridiculously cool animation just amplified it).

I gave the OVA a 5 because it was just jumbled up scenes with no clear storyline, I don't even remember what it was about and I watched it yesterday lol. The first movie was okayish

Yeah, I'm just saying it applies to BL/GL stories as well - but it's not everyone's cup of tea and that's understandable. I agree on animation, that's why I never continued Demon Slayer past season 1.

Awesome, I have some of these on my want to watch list. To me it's less about genre and more about good storytelling. I don't usually watch a few animes simultaneously, but when I do I try to do a mix of genres just to keep things interesting (or less emotionally taxing). I prefer anime that feature queer characters or relationships that don't focus on romance, but sometimes I give one a chance, same with straight romance anime, but to each their own
