NeurIPS 2025 Mexico City – Call for Tutorials

We invite proposals for in-person tutorials to be held in Mexico City, as part of the first NeurIPS secondary physical site. These tutorials should cover both core machine learning topics and emerging areas of interest, and aim to benefit attendees through comprehensive and accessible instruction.

Submission Guidelines

Format & Duration:

• Each accepted tutorial should be 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes) long.
• Tutorials will be held entirely in-person at the Hilton Mexico City Reforma.
• A 20–30 minute panel or discussion is optional and, if included, should be scheduled at the end of the session, within the total duration.

Proposal Content (PDF, ≤ 5 pages, 12-point font):

• Title and Abstract (≤ 250 words)
• Outline & Content Depth: Detailed breakdown of the tutorial flow
• Goals & Learning Outcomes: Objectives and expected benefits for attendees
• Broader Impact: Why this tutorial is timely/relevant for NeurIPS MX
• Presenter Info: Names, affiliations, short bios (up to 3 presenters encouraged)
• Optional Panel: If applicable, describe panelists (max 6 including moderator) and topics
• Inclusivity & Accessibility Strategy: Efforts toward diversity among presenters/participants
• Delivery Support: Plans for slides, code, recordings, or post-event materials

Review & Selection:

We seek proposals that:

• Address mature topics while remaining accessible to PhD-level researchers from diverse ML subfields
• Strive for clarity, balance, and pedagogical value
• Commit to inclusive representation among speakers and participants
• Avoid heavy overlap with tutorials recently presented at NeurIPS, ICML, or related venues in the past 2 years. Check accepted tutorials at:
