The Legendary Pink Dots - Premonition

That tape is from the fascinating period during which The Legendary Pink Dots were releasing obscure cassettes. Premonition was first released in 1982 by Flowmotion in a very limited edition of 60 copies. That Ding Dong re-release is a little different from the original edition, with more tracks. Most of them were re-released as "Under Triple Moons" CD by ROIR in 1997, but I'm not sure if it's still available.

From the booklet : "The Legendary Pink Dots side of the cassette is entitled "The Politics Of Excess". It contains Edward's 8-track cut-up of many, many old Dot songs, along with Phil's manipulated samples from the eight track. This was mixed live 11/92 in their attic in Gendt. Having had so much fun on the first mix, a second attempt was made. These were both so lovely and quite different (though it uses the same material), that I could not choose which to use for Tryst, so we do the most confusing option and use both. Half of the Tryst will have Mix One and half will be Mix Two / (...) Since the Pink Dots got to do two mixes, so have BCO".
That post being the rip of one tape, it contains only one mix of each artist / side. If you have the other ones, please don't hesitate to share ! (Another rip of the cassette is available here, but these are the same mixes)

I've recorded that live concert myself, with the band's authorization. At the end of the concert, I met a guy from the audience who asked me to send him the live recording, which I did once back in hometown ; a few weeks later, he sent me the cassette cover I've included in the rip. I've never really known (and never asked) if it was a personal cover he made for himself or if he used my recording for an unofficial bootleg cassette release...
Anyway, that was a wonderful concert, and I hope the sound is not too bad...
