Mace Debuts Its Spice-Themed Cocktails on Monday in the East Village

To fuel that drinking, there will be flatbreads, snacks, and bacon chocolate chip cookies.

Scott Gordon Bleicher

Mace, the new cocktail bar from Boilermaker's Greg Boehm, Louis 649's Zach Sharaga, and master barman Nico de Soto, looks to be opening right on schedule. The team sends word that it will start pouring its spice-driven cocktails in the former Louis 649 space on Monday evening. The 12-drink cocktail menu has already been locked for a couple of weeks, but the snack menu from Miguel Trinidad of Jeepney and Maharlika was just revealed. There are the requisite cheese and meat boards, as well as flatbreads topped with things like crab, avocado, lemon, and basil, and bacon with fig jam and manchego. For something savory and sweet, there are bacon chocolate chip cookies.
