Publication History

The Monthly Journal of Medicine began in 1855, succeeding The Monthly Journal of Medical Science. Later that year it merged with the Edinburgh Medical and Surgical Journal to form the Edinburgh Medical Journal.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1855: The Internet Archive has the journal's sole volume freely readable online. It is numbered both volume 20, reflecting a broader title history, and volume 11 of the series begun by the 1850 series of the Monthly Journal of Medical Science. (Issue numbering starts at 1, however.)
