It’s the perfect time of year to give your garden a makeover to make it a haven for your dog. Our lead feature this month is on how to create a sensory garden for your dog. You don’t need to spend thousands or sacrifice everything you enjoy in your outdoor space to make it a more exciting and engaging space for your four-legged friend. A few tweaks and new features will appeal to your dog’s senses and boost his physical and mental well-being. Check it out on page 22.
In this issue, we are also going to be a fly on the wall of a dog behaviourist consultation (page eight). Our resident dog trainer, Tony Cruse, helps an owner who has an overexuberant dog. Seeing how Tony works is a great insight into how a behaviourist should learn to understand the situation and provide the valuable advice you need.
In this issue, I also thoroughly enjoyed sitting for a chat with Yulia Titovets, the Kennel Club’s main photographer (page 14). She has been right at the forefront, capturing images from the Crufts main arena for over a decade, as well as just about every other dog sport you can think of. Best thing of all, she always has two of her own dogs with her, wherever she goes! She gives us the inside track to this fascinating career and tells of the incredible journey to get there.
And these three highlights are just for starters!
