About Random IMEI
Random IMEI is built and maintained by David Santacruz, an independent developer who also runs other free developer tools such as Random IBAN and Random MAC.
The site helps developers and QA teams test IMEI fields, imports and validation rules without copying real customers’ device identifiers. It is free and needs no account.
What you will find here
An IMEI generator for iPhone, Samsung and other brands, a check digit calculator and validator, a QA lab with runnable import examples, and guides to the IMEI format.
Sources and corrections
Format explanations cite the GSMA and 3GPP specifications, and device instructions link to manufacturer documentation. If you spot a mistake, send the page and a source; corrections are dated in each guide’s changelog.
Who writes the content
David Santacruz writes and maintains the tools and guides on this site. You can reach him through the contact page.
About the test catalog
Catalog 2025-11-02 groups 128 prefixes into 60 test profiles. Model names label those profiles; they are not results from the official GSMA database, so generated numbers are for test data only.
