Test an Apple inventory record with two IMEI fields

A dual-SIM inventory record can contain two IMEI values. Treat each as a separate field; keep the asset identifier, model number and regional variant in their own columns. A passing checksum tells you nothing about the number of SIMs a particular iPhone supports.

  1. Open the Apple inventory scenario. It contains a two-slot example, an empty second slot and a wrong check digit.
  2. Validate each populated slot. Keep an absent second value separate from a failed checksum; whether it is required depends on your inventory rules.
  3. Compare the report with the expected statuses. Retain the original slot and asset labels when moving the data into a mock import.

What the report should show

Expected: valid populated slots pass arithmetic, a blank field is empty, and the altered final digit fails.

Which iPhone variant are you documenting?

The device guides explain regional model numbers, SIM arrangements and where to find identifiers. For a real inventory, read identifiers from the device or an authorized management system. Use generated values only in test records.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Random IMEI generation and usage

Is this a real iPhone IMEI generator?

It generates test numbers in the IMEI format used by iPhones: an eight-digit prefix, a random serial and a valid Luhn check digit. The numbers are not assigned to real iPhones, which is what makes them safe test data.

Can I use these IMEIs to activate, unlock or enroll an iPhone?

No. Use them only in QA, mocks or documentation, and never send them to Apple, a carrier, MDM enrollment, warranty, insurance or blocklist systems.

Does the model name mean the number belongs to that iPhone?

No. The model name labels a group of test prefixes so you can generate consistent test data. It is not a device lookup.

What does the generator actually validate?

It builds a 15-digit number and calculates the final Luhn check digit, so the result passes format and checksum checks. It does not check allocation, ownership or lock status.

How many iPhone IMEIs can I generate at once?

Between 1 and 50 per batch. Every number within a batch is unique.

How do I find the IMEI of my actual iPhone?

Open Settings, choose General and then About, or follow Apple Support guidance for other methods. Use Apple, your carrier or an authorized service for any status check.
