Every two years LEGO graces us with another Ninjago city set. Ninjago City Workshops is the 5th installment in the series which started after the Ninjago movie. So far they have alternated corner and straight sections with this being time for a corner module. Ninjago city sets are well loved by Ninjago fans as well as others who enjoy the cluttered whacky city layouts, excellent parts usage, play features and attention to detail.

Surely I can't be the only one backlogged with so many things that I want to build? This MOC caught my eyes years ago when I was working on my own alternate for the 2019 set 70835-1 - Rex's Rexplorer! This is the smaller of Rex's spaceships, not to be confused with 70839-1 - The Rexcelsior! (which strangely can also be modified into a modular).

Summer 1993, a small British boy has nothing to do for 6 weeks except play on his new SNES (Super Nintendo for our NA readers). What shall I play? SimCity? WWF Super WrestleMania? Populous maybe? Nah, slam in Super Mario World and lets ride (and sometimes sacrifice for that secret exit) some Yoshi for the millionth time. My childhood is not summed up more succinctly than SMW so set 71438-1 was a no-brainer purchase for me.

Welcome to Jurass...awwww what's that cute little thing!!!!

Jurassic World sets often get a little overlooked by the LEGO community. The dinos built from specialized parts tends to be pretty divisive, in addition to that they also tend to run up the price quite a lot making the theme seem less value for money.

There is nothing more delightful than stumbling accross a great looking MOC, and then realising you already have all the parts! My bonsai set has been sitting on the shelf for years, gethering dust while looking fabulous. It has had turns at both the green and pink version, but probably only changed once, so rarely matched the season. It is about time to switch it up for something new. This alternate build was only released late last year, when I saw it in the hot MOCs list I knew I had to check it out.

A new year, a new Modular set! If we count 10190-1 Market Street, the set that started the theme but was not originally marketed as such, 10350-1 Tudor Corner marks the 20th installment in probably the most popular AFOL theme: Modular Buildings.

I very much enjoyed the first two sets in this collection, 10368-1 - Chrysanthemum and 10369-1 - Plum Blossom, so now that LEGO has completed the set of four, of course I wanted to take a look! I, and many others, were hoping that LEGO was planning to do all 4 gentlemen, and am a little surprised they split this series over two release dates instead of releasing them all at once.
