This MOC is a modification of the official set 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum.

The complete version including fully designed interior requires a total of 7506 parts (+2 sticker sheets), depending on the amount of official sets you own you would need:
  • 0 sets: 7506 parts (6543 parts if you exclude the 'optional' interior of the second floor
  • 1 set: 5142 additional parts (4173 parts excluding interior 2nd floor)
  • 2 sets: 3584 additional parts (2659 parts excluding interior 2nd floor)
  • (I have also included different XML parts list for bricklink, to make it easier to order parts via Bricklink. Excluding parts if you  already own 1 or 2 official sets, of if you want to include/exclude the optional second floor interior).

Dimensions: H: 36.5cm, W: 35cm, D: 31.5cm
(Dimensions Including (MILS) 48 x 48 baseplate: H: 38.5cm, W: 38.4cm, D: 38.4cm)

Because of all the features I wanted to include, to make it more accurate to the New York Sanctum of the MCU movies, I had to build it on a 48 x 48 baseplate. This allowed me to design a custom main lobby and giant staircase that's more similar to the one from the Doctor Strange movies (and Spider-Man's No Way Home). While also leaving enough room for minifigure accessibility.
Unlike the original set, this MOC consists of 4 seperate floors, which are all connected by proper staircases.

Ground Floor:

The ground floor has an extra hallway, which was inspired by the layout of the New York Sanctum from the movies, the left section leads to a false door which is supposed to lead to Kamar-Taj. The right section of the hallway leads to the side entrance and to the kitchen. The main entrance leads to the main hall with the iconic giant staircase. The top section of the staircase is removable and allows for more accessibility of the kitchen and the removable toilet.

First Floor:

The giant staircase continues on to the first floor with the same type of banisters on the balcony on both sides. I incorporated the portal door from the original set and modified it to make it visually more pleasing by hiding the side walls of the tan and white panels when you view the different portals. If you continue on to the balcony you will reach the library, with a custom removable wall, which works with the other removable walls from the original set. In the back there are 2 rooms, the one on the right can be used as storage for minifigure accessories or to store another removable wall. The room on the left has a staircase which leads up to the second floor.

Second Floor:

For the second floor there are 2 options in the instruction manual which you can follow. I have also included different XML parts list for bricklink including and excluding the optional second floor interior.
Option A is an empty room, which can be decorated however the builder wants. Option B has instructions to build a fully decorated living room, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom.
912 of the additional 3561 parts (if you own 2 official sets) are used for Option B. The stairs in the center of the room lead to the attic.

Attic:

The attic has enough space to display almost all of the accessories (relics) from the original set, the left corner of the attic/roof couldn't be mirrored because one of the parts never has been produced in the Sand Green colour, that's why I replaced it with different bricks to try and mimic the right corner. The roof is similar to the original design, with the exception of the doorway leading to the attic.

Do you happen to have the list I would need if I already own 2 sets?

Are you looking for a screenshot of the parts list or an XML file for Bricklink?

Hi, I would also be interested in the bricklink XML file, where can I find them?

Hello Salika, I've added a screenshot on the bricksafe site (https://bricksafe.com/pages/AVusion/sanctum_sanctorum_moc_by_avusion) with all the parts needed to build this Sanctum Sanctorum MOC if you own 2 official LEGO 76218 - Sanctum Sanctorum sets, excluding parts for the optional interior on the 2nd floor.

As for the bricklink XML files (6):
          - parts needed if you own 2 Sanctum Sanctorum sets with optional 2nd floor interior
          - parts needed if you own 2 Sanctum Sanctorum sets without optional 2nd floor interior
          - parts needed if you own 1 Sanctum Sanctorum sets with optional 2nd floor interior
          - parts needed if you own 1 Sanctum Sanctorum sets without optional 2nd floor interior
          - parts needed if you own 0 Sanctum Sanctorum sets with optional 2nd floor interior
          - parts needed if you own 0 Sanctum Sanctorum sets without optional 2nd floor interior
Those are all included in the downloadable files for those who purchased the instructions

Quick question just need 2 sets to complete this build ?

Hello Speedy800ss, for this build you need a total of 7506 parts (6543 parts if you exclude the optional interior of the second floor).

If you purchased two sets 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum you will need to purchase an additional 3584 parts (2659 parts if you exclude the optional interior of the second floor), you will use roughly 3922 parts from both of the Sanctum Sanctorum sets and will have roughly 1422 leftover parts.

If you purchase one set 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum you will need an additional 5142 parts (4173 parts excluding optional interior second floor), you will be using roughly 2364 parts from one Sanctum Sanctorum set and have roughly 308 leftover parts.

Personally I would recommend going for a second Sanctum Sanctorum when you find a good sale, you will save quite a lot money compared to buying all the additional parts from LEGO pick a brick section and/or Bricklink. You will also get another set of minifigures which you can sell for an extra 'discount'.

Most of the additional parts needed for this MOC went into designing the new interior of the ground floor going up to the first floor (mainly the giant staircase) and the second floor which is a completely new addition to the original build (which only consists of 3 floors).

If you only care about the exterior of the build you can reduce the amount of additional parts needed by a lot if you exclude the interior of the ground and first floor.

I love this build, a few things I plan to change though when I start to build it are
    ● Making whole building in the dark tan color to closer match the comics.
    ● Filling up the 2nd and 3rd floor with Artifacts (easter eggs and such)
    ● Getting rid of the time stone room.
There's some other modifications I'll be making to accompany my version of the Midnight Suns but most include slight modifications or reworking stuff to work around the characters (like covering a rooms windows for Morbius).

Good idea, would love to see some photo's when you are working on your version ;) especially the modifications for your version of the Midnight Suns.
As for decorating the 2nd and 3rd floor with Artifacts, I plan on filling it with parts from the other Doctor Strange sets. However for the instructions I tried to limit the parts/sets only to parts/sets that are still being produced by the LEGO group.
Also I wanted to decorate my MOC with both Marvel/GotG advent calendar for Christmas

This is gigantic looking... it does feel as if it is closer to the original one and of course it must depend on the many more pieces... excellent work :D

Thank you, a lot of the changes came from splitting the middle part in a proper 1st and 2nd floor and lining up the door and windows on 1 straight line. However the majority of the additional parts were used for the interior

If you only saw a straight shot from the front it would look pretty much like he official LEGO set, but any other view and it clearly shows all the differences and modifications, especially the interior which I think is far superior to the LEGO version. I particularly liked the first floor design, although personally i would have loaded it with more books on shelves, but overall this is a really solid moc.

Thank you 😁, its always nice to hear it from other AFOLs who can also appreciate it.
The combined ground floor and first floor is my favorite view 😁 there are so many angles where you can make awesome photo's.
I tried to keep the balcony free from bookshelves so there would be enough space to place minifigs, however it might be possible to place a long bookshelve at 4-5 bricks high which shouldnt clash with minifigures. I will look into it, thanks for the suggestion. As for the library, I'm planning on adding the accessories from set 76060. I kept those out of the instruction manual / bricklink wanted list, because I wanted to only include parts / sets that are still being produced by LEGO.

Thank you, glad you noticed 😁 at first glance it can look like an exact copy 😅. I wish I had a 3rd copy of the set to view them side by side

Thank you, I'm really happy with the outcome. It's so much better seeing it IRL then only via digital renders :D
