What if the mission fails (camera broken, can't do push-ups today)?

Every mission has an accessible fallback so you're never trapped: for example, a camera mission can fall back to math. The fallback is deliberately not easier than getting up.

Can I use Risly for naps or irregular schedules?

Yes. Alarms can be one-off or recurring per weekday, so shift workers and nappers can build their own patterns.

What data does Risly collect?

Camera recognition for the object, QR, barcode and push-up missions runs entirely on-device. The drawing and kiss missions are the exception: what you drew, or the single photo of the two of you, is sent to a third-party service that answers whether the mission is complete. The image is discarded after that check. The only images saved anywhere are the ones Morning Memories keeps, and only if you switch on that optional backup, which puts them in your private cloud space. Risly also collects anonymous usage analytics and subscription status, and nothing is ever sold to advertisers.

Do I need an account?

No account is required to wake up. Your alarms and streak live on your device.
