Amin N-metiltransferaza (EC 2.1.1.49, nikotinska N-metiltransferaza, triptaminska N-metiltransferaza, arilaminska N-metiltransferaza, triptaminska metiltransferaza) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom S-adenozil-L-metionin:amin N-metiltransferaza.[1][2] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- S-adenozil-L-metionin + an amin S-adenozil-L-homocistein + metilisani amin
Ovaj enzim ima veoma široku specifičnost. Mnogi primarni, sekundarni i tercijarni amini mogu da deluju kao akceptori, uključujući triptamin, anilin, nikotin i mnoštvo lekova i drugih ksenobiotika.
