Affordable Services

IT&E offers a variety of plans for all residents who qualify for the Lifeline Assistance program. This federal program was developed to assist eligible individuals and families acquire and maintain essential communications services. Subscribers are able to stay connected with family members and friends.

How to apply

  1. Go to lifelinesupport.org and sign up for an account.
  2. Upload required documents to prove eligibility. Documents required might include proof of identity, proof of residential address, household worksheet, proof of emancipated minor, proof of program/income, or proof of life. IT&E will no longer be accepting these documents.
  3. Once eligibility is confirmed by email or mail by USAC, visit IT&E to sign up for a Lifeline Mobile Plan and complete a IT&E Lifeline consent form.

Eligibility Requirement

You may be eligible if you participate in at least one of the following federal assistance programs:

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) (Food Stamps) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Medicaid or Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA) or Veterans Pension or Survivors Benefit Programs Customers who do not receive any of the federal assistance above may still qualify for the Lifeline Program if their annual household income meets the income level requirements below:

Consumers qualify for Lifeline through income or through participation in a Lifeline-qualifying program. Only one Lifeline benefit is allowed per household.

Survivor Eligibility

Under the Safe Connections Act (SCA), survivors experiencing financial hardship will be able to qualify and receive emergency Lifeline support for up to six months, if they pursue a line separation request. Qualifying survivors can receive a discount of up to $9.25. Visit the Safe Connections Act page to learn more.
