Rebranding of the FourEyedMonster Miniatures YouTube Channel

As part of Shire Work's full transition away from custom painted scale model kit/figurines offerings towards social media content creation, we have done a simple rebrand for our YouTube Channel titled FourEyedMonster Miniatiures with a new banner and avatar.

Below are the new and old versions of the YouTube Channel banner for comparison.

New YouTube Channel Banner for FourEyedMonster Miniatures

Older version of the FourEyedMonster Miniatures YouTube Channel Banner

FourEyedMonster's new avatar is now more brightly colored in a pastel scheme rather than the sickly green zombie of old. This was done more to tie in with the color scheme of the new banner rather than any dissatisfaction with the old avatar, which I am fond of and was reluctant to let go. Well, times change so the new avatar will be in place for now.

FourEyedMonster's Old Avatar

While it has yet to be decided, there is a possibility this rebrand may also be applied to the FourEyedMonster Facebook site, which for the moment retains the old avatar and a unique banner of my old custom-painted projects. In combination, the new channel banner and avatar will look like the image you see below.

Meanwhile, the clickable banner that directed you to my channel has also been redone, with the new version as seen below this paragraph. I hope you will continue to visit the channel and check out the content we have for you there. Hope to see you there! Thanks for checking out this post. Take care and be well.

A tale of two blogs

Just a quick reminder about the existence of our resident painter's personal blog i.e. foureyed-monster.blogspot.com in which there are work-in-progress postings of both miniature figurines and scale model kits. Do note that some of these works will be for sale, and some not. Any fully painted miniature figurines and scale model kits for sale will be listed on shireworks.blogspot.com, which is the blog you are looking at right now.

https://foureyed-monster.blogspot.com/

Of these two blogs, it's inevitable that the one in foureyed-monster.blogspot.com will be updated more regularly. That being said we will definitely try to update this blog as regularly as we can with fully painted miniature figurines and scale model kits for sale.

Also if there are any fully painted stuff shown in foureyed-monster.blogspot.com that you are interested in buying but isn't listed here for sale - please do contact us at shireworks@gmail.com Our apologies in advance but any sale is solely for collectors in Malaysia only and preferably COD in the Klang Valley or Kuala Lumpur (due to the fragile nature of the fully painted/finished products). Thank you for reading and have a great day!

Roughly a month ago, Knight Models announced that they will no longer be making miniatures based on the Marvel licence. Below is the full transcript of the Facebook post:

Following this sad news, please note Shire Works will no longer restock miniatures from our existing Knight Models Marvel Universe product line once they are sold out. Thank you.

Coming soon ... painted miniatures and model kits

To complement Shire Works' existing products, we plan to offer customers fully assembled/painted miniatures and scale model kits in the coming months. Here at Shire Works, we understand that not all collectors want to assemble/paint miniatures and model kits. Good news then to those of you who would like to collect figurines and model vehicles as finished end products of display quality.

For now at least, the fully painted/assembled miniatures and model kits will come from our main product lines namely Ax Faction, Knight Models, Nocturna Models as well as from Bandai's Star Wars Plastic Model range. Also for the time being they will not be commissioned works but rather selected pieces chosen by Shire Works.

Due to the fragility of some of the fully painted/assembled miniatures and model kits, they will be made available only within the Klang Valley on a COD (cash on delivery), for now. However, we do harbour hopes of expanding the availability of these fully painted/assembled miniatures and model kits, outside of the Klang Valley, in the future. Until our next post, here's wishing you a Happy New Year!

Catch the new Avengers movie and get a hankering for some old school Marvel miniatures

A long holiday weekend is upon us so make sure you take this opportunity to catch the latest Marvel Avengers movies blockbuster The Age of Ultron. In this latest installment, some of our superheroes get new uniform and armour upgrades while others remain fairly unchanged. While the new stuff does look good, you can't beat the 'old school classics'.

To satisfy any carvings of the Marvel uniforms and/or armour of yesteryear, look no further than the Knight Models 1/28th scale Marvel miniatures. Comprising either white metal alloy or high quality resin, the photos shown below are of fully painted miniatures. However, the miniatures on sale in Shire Works are supplied unpainted and will require assembly

Captain America (White metal model kit)
Iron Man Special Edition (White metal model kit)
Thor (White metal model kit)
The Hulk with 3 head options (Resin model kit)
Loki (White metal model kit)

For more details and prices on the 1/28th scale miniatures above (and many other superheroes from the Marvel universe), please click on the blog ad banner below.
