FAQs

What is Soulor?

An app for reading social situations and rehearsing hard conversations.

  • Seven AI perspectives read what happened, ranked by evidence.
  • Rehearse with a simulation of the other person while a coach checks each message.
  • A companion that keeps your context, so you never re-explain.

Built by Richael (dh8116) in Auckland, New Zealand. In early access and free to start.

How does Soulor's memory work?

Your companion remembers your name, your story and your mood across chats, and brings them up naturally.

  • Companions and chat history belong to your account, so they follow you to other devices.
  • Chats are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). The server decrypts them to write replies, so this is not end-to-end encryption.
What are relationship stages?

Each companion moves through five stages as trust builds:

StrangerFriendCloseIntimateSoulmate

The stage changes how your companion actually talks to you, not just a label.

What is Simulation Mode?

One situation, read at once by seven AI analysts:

OptimistCynicMentorStatus ObserverGossiperNeutral ObserverInsecure Observer

A judge ranks them by evidence: one best fit, two alternatives, four speculative. The panel already knows the context you gave your companion.

Is Soulor free?

Yes. Free to start, no credit card required.

  • Pro is $6.99 a month, with a 7-day free trial.
  • The first 100 founding members get a Founding Co-Creator badge and their first month of Pro free.

What AI models does Soulor use?

Soulor's own fine-tune of the open-weight Qwen3-14B model, trained with LoRA and served with vLLM on Modal. Hosted models take over when it is unavailable.

Qwen3 (Qwen team) · LoRA (arXiv 2106.09685) · vLLM

Is Soulor a replacement for therapy?

No. Soulor has wellness tools (breathing and grounding, mood check-ins, a journal, a habit tracker), but it is not professional mental health care.
