Happy Swedish Mother's Day 2016

Today we are celebrating The Swedish Mother's Day! We had a lovely chicken roast dinner and a scrumptious dessert awaits. So nice to be able to celebrate Mother's Day twice a year lol

The photo of Princess Lily is a year old or so, but I love it so much. She's standing with two bunches of chocolate roses - such a perfect gift!

Aussie Mother's Day 2014

We celebrated Mother's Day in Australia yesterday.

In only two more weeks we'll be celebrating the Swedish Mother's Day too.

- How lucky am I?! I get to celebrate two Mother's Days each year☺

Aussie Mother's Day tomorrow

Mother's Day merchandise in every shop.

Little Miss Pink Princess found some chocolate roses... 

I love you, mamma... and I want to give you these ☺

Just outside one of our supermarkets,

an ocean of rose bouquets and other beautiful flowers.

 

The roses sure are beautiful, but a bit too pricey, I think... 

$28 for a bouquet. 

I'm looking forward seeing what Prince Jonah made for me at school.

The home made gifts are the best, don't you think?!

Soon Easter will be gone...

Most Easter décor is packed away, but I keep finding bits and pieces here and there... 

Mother's Day is coming up, so I'd better take down the Easter décor lol

We celebrate the Australian Mother's Day on Sunday the 11th of May.

I should try to remove all my Easter décor before then, shouldn't I?!

So exciting about Mother's Day... Jonah's school has a Mother's Day stall with presents for the kids to purchase - prices range between AU$1-7 so there is something for everyone to buy. And also, Jonah has been making something 'top secret' in class - can't wait for Sunday to see what Jonah made me! Mother's Day is one special day... and I'm lucky enough to celebrate it twice every year - one Aussie Mother's Day and one Swedish one. I feel pretty special ☺

Mother's Day 2013

Happy Mother's Day to all you mums/moms out there in blog land!!
Yesterday we celebrated Mother's Day with a Pizza night at the kids grandparents place.

Today we continued to celebrate here at home too. I whipped up a Swedish treat, a Princess Cake - my absolute favourite cake; sponge cake with raspberry jam, vanilla custard, whipped cream and on top, a layer of green marzipan. Yum! Every day is Mother's Day right?!

In a couple of weeks I'm going to enjoy my second Mother's Day for the year, the Swedish one... Maybe I'll make the same cake then too, or something completely different. Stay tuned ☺
