Patterned Paper #15

Hi and welcome back to my patterned paper series. Today I made a large flower using the Inkadinkado petals stamp for the stamping gear and various patterned papers.

The hedgehog is from Penny Black and the image was colored using alcohol markers. The saying is from Studio G. I added clear colored enamel dots for interest.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Patterned Paper #5

Hi! I hope that you are having a good day. I want to show you another way that you can use up those patterned paper scraps. I pulled out some paper scraps and cut them in wavy lines. On each one I sponged dark ink on the edges and then sponged around the finished panel. Here are a few backgrounds I made.

Here is a finished card I made using another background like this.

I stamped the Inkadinkado cat, using black ink, onto orange card stock. I fussy cut him and added him to the card. I used green sparkle enamel dots to add interest to the card. The saying is from Our Daily Bread Designs.

Thanks so much for stopping by. May this inspire you to get out those paper scraps and get creative! Have a great day!

Patterned Paper Series #2

Welcome back to my patterned paper series! Valentine's Day will be here soon. Have you started on your cards yet? I hope this card will inspire you to use those patterned paper scraps that we all seem to have lying around. Today I have used strips of different patterned papers to fill in a heart die.

I glued strips of patterned paper behind the Nellie Snellen heart die. I stamped the Inkadinkado cat, fussy cut him and added him over the heart. The cat paws are stickers. The saying is from Just For Fun Stamps.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Patterned Paper Series #1

Happy New Year everyone! I hope that the new year will hold many blessings for you.

For the past few years I have had a running series on my blog. Last year was shabby chic. I have tons of paper scraps as I know most of us do! I will never use up all the pieces, but I am hoping I can make a little dent in my stash with this patterned paper series this year. I hope to find different ways to use patterned papers on my cards.

Today I made a card with snowflake dies using three different blue patterned papers from my stash. The dies I used are the Build A Snowflake 5 dies from Spellbinders.

I stamped the cute penguin from Inkadinkado, colored him with alcohol markers, fussy cut him and pop dotted him to the card. I used a swirl stamp behind the sled to show motion and added glitter over it. Rhinestones were added to the centers of some of the snowflakes.

Thanks so much for stoppng by. I will be posting my patterned paper ideas every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month!

Have a great day!

Shabby Chic #23

Hi Everyone! Christmas is approaching fast! I want to show you a shabby chic shaker card that I made. I have been making more shaker cards lately and love them. They are so much fun!

I made the card shape using the Precious Marieke flowers frame background and sponged brown ink around the edges. The white flower frame goes with it. I then cut a pink frame using a frame die from Nellie Sellen. Lastly, I cut a white circle using the Gina Marie stitched circle die. The snowman stamp is from Inkadinkado. The image was colored using alcohol inks. The saying is from Just For Fun Stamps. Flowers, ribbon and pearls were used for accents. I used plastic snowflakes and clear sugar beads inside the shaker.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope that you are enjoying the Christmas season. Have a wonderful day!

Butterfly in Pink

Hi and welcome to my blog. I want to show you a card I made using an Inkadinkado butterfly stamp. The butterfly was part of a scene, so I fussy cut it to stand alone on this card. I colored it using white and pink Liquid Pearls to give it a bit of shimmer. I used pearls for the butterfly's body.

The pink circle was made using a Martha Stewart butterfly corner punch. I stamped a script stamp on the pink and white circle backgrounds. Enamel dots and pearls were added randomly on the card. I haven't used fibers in a long time. I rummaged through my fiber bag and found some to make a bow with.

The light pink background was made by using a resist technique. I pounced plastic wrap into white Liquid Pearls and then pounced it on white card stock. When it dried I sponged over the card stock with pink Distress ink. The Liquid Pearls acted as a resist.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!
