Quick and Easy Christmas Projects - Day 2

Hi everyone.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  The last ten years I've blogged about last minute Christmas ideas you could make in under 60 minutes.  Well, it's that time again and I've got some new projects to share.

I found this ornament at the Dollar Store.

I traced the ornament onto Rinea Foil then adhered the foil to the panel.
Other colors of foiled were added across the panel.
Using a sanding tool, I sanded the panel as well as the edges.

Next, I stamped around the panel with black ink.
The wood words were inked and embossed before being adding it to the panel.

Stars and bells were also inked and embossed, then also added to the panel.
A string was added so the ornament can be hung up.

Scor-Pal - Friends are Treasures

Hi everyone, it's time for a new Scor-Pal challenge.  Just create a project with more than one score.

Supplies: Scor-Pal
Scor-Tape
Stamps:  Joy Clair, Hero Arts

Cut cardstock 6" x 12".
With the 12" length at the edge, score at 4" and 8".
Rotate and score the left edge at 3" stopping at the 4" score line.
Rotate and score the right edge at 1 1/2" stopping at the 8" score line.

Cut along the 2 scored lines as shown.

Rotating the panel and placing the straight edge across the channel, score at 1/4" and 11 1/4".

To create the 2 tabs, cut along the 1/4" edges as shown.

Fold along the scored lines.
Score 1/2" from the right edge of the center panel at the tab area.
Fold the left panel towards the center and lightly mark where the tab meets the panel at the 1/2" score line.  Cut along mark so the tab can slip inside.
When the tab is inserted, this creates the bowed effect.
Do the same so the smaller panel's tab can slip inside.

Cut white cardstock 5" x 8".
Stamp and emboss the floral image along the top edge and color with Copic Markers.
Cut the stamped panel to fit the center panel.
Fussy cut around the stamped image and ink the panel with brown ink.
Use a stencil to add a design on the bottom section of the panel.
Adhere the panel to the center of the card then fussy cut around the card.

Cut the outer panels as desired, softening the straight edges.
Ink the card with brown ink.
Punch out assorted sizes of butterflies and adhere to the left panel.

Stamp and emboss a phrase just under the floral panel.
Stamp and emboss a second phrase.
Ink the edges and adhere to the smaller panel

Finish by adding rhinestones as the butterfly trails and assorted liquid pearls to the flower centers.

Thanks for stopping by.

Scor Pal Card and Boxed Envelope

Hi everyone, it's time for a new Scor-Pal challenge.  Just create a project with more than one score.

Supplies: Scor-Pal
Scor-Tape
Scor-Envie
Spellbinders Dies, Heartfelt Creations Dies
Rinea Foiled Paper

Create a card from white cardstock - cutting it 10" x 6 1/2".
Score in half creating a 5" x 6 1/2" card.
Using a Spellbinders circle die, die cut the front of the card.
Die cut the front panel of the card using Rinea Foils and Heartfelt Creation dies.
Adhere to the card front.
Die cut a watering can and add some color with Distress Inks.
Die cut and assemble the flowers and leaf flourishes.

Ass the watering can is visible on the inside, add some additional leaf flourishes.
Adhere pattern paper to the card base and add 2 die cut circles and a leaf flourish.

Since the card is very 3 dimensional, it needed a box envelope.
Using the Scor-Envie in conjunction with the Scor-Pal I created a 6" x 6" envelope box
The paper was cut 10 1/2" x 10 1/2".
Placing the paper as shown, score at 9 1/4", 9 3/4", 2 3/4" and 2 1/4.

Cut the edges as shown above.
Fold on all score lines.

Use Scor-Tape to assemble.

Since I used double sided patter paper, the 2nd pattern shows inside the card.
This is a wonderful use of double sided cardstock.

Happy Winter Snowman

Hi everyone, winter is in full swing.

The snowman is a metal base.

Using Rinea foil in Arctic Starstruck, I traced the snowman, then adhered it.
Using a file, I filed the edges.
I wrapped ribbon around the snowman.
I used a 1" punch for the buttons and a 3/4" punch for the eyes.
The nose was cut from orange cardstock.

I die cut cardboard to create the sign post and assembled it with brads.
It was then adhered along the left side.

Using some burlap, I created his hat.
Holly leaves and buttons were added to the hat along with several snowflakes.

Modeling paste was used to add some "snowy" effects around the edges.
I also randomly added some splatters around the hat and sign.

Some additional snowflakes were added to his buttons.
"Winter" was stamped, torn and added to the sign post.

Happy Winter!

Quick and Easy Christmas Projects - Day 8

Hi everyone.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  The last nine years I've blogged about last minute Christmas ideas you could make in under 60 minutes.  Well, it's that time again and I've got some new projects to share.

Today I'm sharing an ornament.

The most time consuming part of this project was letting the adhesive dry!

Using a metal shaped ornament, cover it with Mod Podge and placed it on Rinea Foiled Paper.
Allow to dry 24 hours before proceeding.

Once dry, use a sander to sand the edges.
This removes the excess foil and also distresses the edges of the ornament.

Add Silver Foil to the ornament top.
Punch a hole in the top, then slip rope through the hole.

Select an assortment of greenery and bind together with floral tape.
Create a bow using the Bowdabra and tie the bow around the greenery.

Using a hot glue gun, adhere the greenery to the ornament.
Hold the greenery in place for a few minutes until it sets.
Using the left over bow wire, tie a bell to the bow.
Adhere a metal word to the ornament.

Easter Wishes Scored Card

Hi everyone, it's a new month and the challenge on the Scor-Pal blog is to create anything you want, just be sure it includes more than one score.

I've created a sweet Easter card that is very easy to mass produce if you need a large number of Easter cards this year.

Cut cardstock 6"x8".
Place the 8" side across the Scor-Pal and score every inch, for a total of 7 scored lines.

Mountain/Valley fold the score lines to create the card base.

Score cardstock in half and place a large oval die over the fold and die cut.
This creates the card, but misses the oval tip.
To solve this, use the same die and die cut another oval to complete the card.
Adhere to the card front.

Center the oval card on the scored base.
Using Scor-Tape, adhere the bottom edge of the card to front base.
Flip over and adhere the other side of the card to the back base.

Die cut Rinea Gold Glossy Foil to fit the card base and emboss.

Die cut smaller eggs from various colors of Rinea Foiled Papers and adhere to the card.

Place Scor-Tape on the wood bunny and place on the card.

Stamp the sentiments and place on the card.
