Games!: Fall of the Bazanti

Got a game of FSF tonight with my newly minted and completed Bazanti (the fictitious name I've chosen for my not-Dacians).  Through a mix of bad decisions and poor dice (well...great dice rolling...from my opponent!) they fell apart in the biggest rout we've had in the game so far.  Absolute collapse of my center line of infantry.

This is the final unit I added to my ancients army.  Because they're based off the Roman auxiliary set from Victrix I decided to alter their paint scheme and their shield designs.  Perhaps they're mercenaries or simply from another tribe in the region.  I mixed in Dacian heads, shields, and similar.

Breaking the hobby-slumber...

I've been stuck painting terrain and just really not enthused to paint miniatures for the past month or two.  I finally finished some stuff on my desk.  Two new minis for Scrapheap (releasing soon!), and a few more bases of archers for my not-Dacian army.

Games!: FSF and (unpictured) Armada!

Got in a lengthy game day today --- with one of my buddies who is off-work while recovering from some surgery.

We played a decently large playtest of Famine, Sword, & Fire.  Afterward we played a couple games of Star Wars Armada (but forgot to snap pictures!).
