The bear essentials...Cutie Pie

Hello friends. I hope you had an enjoyable weekend. We were gifted wall to wall sunshine so made the most of it by taking a quick visit to West Bay on Saturday. We got there early and managed a peaceful thirty minutes on the beach, just sitting and people watching!! It was all about the four legged family members yesterday. An early morning ride followed by a session trimming the dogs with the horse clippers (UK friends...think Specsavers with the Farmer shearing the sheep!!), they look so much better for it!! It was so hot in the afternoon that we hosed down the ponies. On returning to his paddock Wills promptly got down and rolled in the mud!!

If you've got this far I am actually here to invite you to the new Cutie Pie Challenge.

The Bear Essentials...a cute card with a bear on it...simple!!

Another challenge sponsored by Lee Holland, not used one of those images for yonks and find two consecutive Dt pieces by the same sponsor!! This little cutie was coloured with Spectrum Noir markers to match the bright and cheery paper, that I think is First Edition. The banner is from a retired Clearly Besotted set that I stamped and heat embossed.

Thank you for stopping by and listening to my jabbering...I will leave you with a couple of snaps of the sea, what a beautiful colour too.

See you later in the week xx

Non- Birthday

Blimey, that week and a bit whooshed by!! I was hoping to craft more during this "stay at home" time but the kind weather, while it lasts, has meant more time outdoors.

So, I have a cute book mark to share with you today. The new theme at

is Favourite non-Birthday occasion. For me it was an easy decision...Christmas so I made a book mark.

The cute reindeer and tree (Coloured with Flexmarkers this time) are from a Clearly Besotted set that I chose (among others) following a Challenge win early in the New Year (when Brexit was headlining!!).

The bookmark itself was die cut from a lovely MFT die set. The message on the banner was white powder, heat embossed and I used three complimentary coloured seam binding ribbons to finish it off. I think I might make more of these, it was great for using up scraps.

That is all for now except to say that I hope you are all well and untouched by this nasty virus, particularly those who are in the face of it.

Keep well friends xx

AYLI - Shape or Fold

Hello bloggers.

Coffee Anyone? I found this little fella in the middle of my digi pile and he called out to be coloured and made into a card.

Here is the inside, that I hope will qualify for the current Allsorts challenge, Friends.

I am really enjoying making tent cards at the moment, mainly because I found many, many C6 envelopes!! It's perfect actually because the new challenge at As You Like It is

Favourite card shape or fold

Hope you will play along, and remember to give your reason too.

Well, the retail therapy went well. The reason for the visit was to find something a bit out of the ordinary for my Mum's Birthday which was the first task we achieved. We also came home with Lindt chocolates, Molton Brown body wash, a rather nice new handbag and jumper for me!! Success!!

If the weather men are to be believed, it will be snowing while this post goes live and I will be at work wishing I was at home!! Stay safe if it is snowing where you are in the UK.

See you soon xx

Lunch time

I have a little Easter card to share with you today featuring

I coloured her with my Lyra pencils and blending solution for a change as I think the softness suits the sweet bunny.

I can't believe the weekend is nearly upon us again. I am on annual leave this week and have had a shopping trip with a friend, a visit to the cinema to see The Greatest Showman, which I loved, (Connor accompanied me and I think it was the third or fourth time he had seen it!! ) Wednesday was a home day and today we have done a bit of fencing...as you do !! Lunch out tomorrow and then the weekend will be upon us again. Where does the time go !!

Until next time xx

Christmas Amy

Hello my crafty friends. I know, I don't put in an appearance for weeks then turn up within  a couple of days...and there's more to come this week too!!

My visit today is to support the new release at Sasayaki Glitter and this is

I coloured her with Spectrum Noir Illustrator pens (which I liked very much, by the way!!) to match the pretty papers. I also managed to have a really good die cutting session with my new Gemini, which I also like very much indeed. Everything cut perfectly and I really loaded up the platform just to check it out!!

you can grab yourself a freebie for 24 hours so be quick!!

While I am here there are a few challenges that I would like to join in

Lovely to have you visit me. See you again on Thursday!!

So Special

Morning bloggers...I am exhausted!! Its been such a long time since there were pups in the house and I had forgotten how much like babies they are!! In fact it's a wonder I am managing this post at all, so I had better be quick!!

We want to see your "trademark" at

all the details are on the challenge blog.

I really cannot define my style. I love patterned papers too much for it to be CAS, yet I don't over do the embellishments so not quite fussy and fancy.

I am just ME!!

No time to list my ingredients today, if you are interested just ask!!

Clementine

Hello lovely people, I know, it's been a week and I have no real excuse for not being here except...life!! Anyway, here I am and I have a Christmas card to share that is suitable for some current challenges.

This is Clementine (The Stamp Fairy now retired but who first appeared here) coloured with Promarkers to match the pretty papers which, I think, are from a First Edition set ( an EBAY taster pack). I was so pleased with this one and the white gel pen made such a difference.

I'm off to try my luck at these challenges

Crafts Galore Encore - Use a digi or stamp (digi)

A lampshade...whatever next?!!

Hello my crafty friends I have a late finish at work tonight :0(
which means a late start this morning :0), so Surprise and I have been out and about disturbing the pheasants and bunnies of Dorset and I've even found time to post my latest creation which is.....
ta dah....a lamp!!

Don't laugh...I decided that I really should make use of the CC Sweet Treats embossing boards and CD rom (that have been collecting dust for quite some time!!) and intended to make a popcorn box. However, when I had it turned upside down to glue the crochet lace and  pearls in place inspiration struck and it became a lamp!! Little Maggie got another outing and a pretty pink paper pieced dress using the opposite side of the paper scrap.

Here is a shot to show the inked edges and dodgy gluing!!

Lucky there are a few perfect challenges to enter at the moment...

Floral overload

Hello my crafty friends, another week upon us and I hope yours is set to be a good one.

Yesterday I had a bit of a tidy up in the work room and in doing so found flowers, lots and lots of them from past visits to The Ribbon Girl and Wild Orchid Crafts. I have a "thing" about postage and don't usually embellish to the nth degree unless asked to. Well as it's officially early spring here in the UK I thought I might have a go at a flowery fluffy card and this is what happened...

I already had the base made up (stitched and everything!!) using a First Edition Pad (SNAP Asha!!) that I had distressed with Weathered Wood ink. The image is from All Dressed Up's Three Little Autumn Girls set and I coloured her to match the papers using Pro/Flexmarkers. I die cut her using Majestic Elements Labels 25 and popped it on Floral Ovals. There is also some lace which I edged with pearls and a TH pin holding the sentiment. Ooh and voile tied into a bow, with a pearly brad and dried stuff behind the flowers.
Phew what a lot of ingredients!! Anyway I am really rather delighted with the result so don't be surprised if you see more of this girly goodness in the future!!

Not a card

Morning peeps, I love Thursdays...nearly the weekend!! Yay!!
This is a particularly good one as I get to share my project for our new

As You Like It challenge and this time it's

" Your Favourite Not a Card" (don't forget to tell us why?)

I chose to make another slip cover box. I really enjoy making these, they are really easy to do, look expensive and make a great alternative to a decorated gift bag or conventional box. Added to that it's a great excuse to use up those "special" double sided papers that have been gathering dust for years...as in my case anyway!!

First off I must mention the adorable bunny that is Bently (with his bunny on this occasion) who was coloured with Pro/Flexmarkers. The box was made entirely from First Edition Floral Pavilion 12x12.

Here you can get a better look at the pretty interior and how it slides together.

A Christmas break

Hello my crafty buddies, I have a Birthday card to share today as I was itching to use a different colour scheme if I am honest!!

To start with I dug out my Boho Chic pad and made the layout using

Sketch Saturday #223

I then coloured little Pip (mine was a digi but you can get her in rubber now here) with Promarkers to match the pretty papers. I actually used different colour recipe for her face and was really pleased with the result, even though she did seem a bit "Tangoed" at first. (For my overseas friends...you won't have a clue what I am on about but it, essentially, means orange !!).

I am entering these challenges

Sketch Saturday Week #338 - Pick any Sketch
Sister Act #85 - Anything Goes
613 Avenue Create #100 - Anything Goes (calendar twist)
That Craft Place - Anything Goes

That's me for now, if I don't get a chance before I shall see you on Thursday with a DT card, but for now have a good week xx
