AYLI Favourite way to add ribbon

Hello friends, Thursday again, sniffing distance of the weekend and another new challenge at

We would love to know your favourite way to add ribbon. I don't always use ribbon, but when I do I tie a bow ( in this case, seam binding) and attach to a length of the same ribbon wrapped around the card, as you can see below. It adds a bit of "pretty" without too much fuss.

I have made a get well card this time using some goodies from My Mum's Craft Shop, where there are currently bargains galore to be had!! I love fussy cutting images usually but could well be a convert having bought the die to match the gorgeous MFT stamp!! She was coloured with Promarkers to match the papers, as usual!! To add some definition I inked the edges of the papers too, must do that more often as I quite like the effect!!

Well, that is me for today. Thank you for your visit xx

Leila and Teddy

A week or two ago I "had" to buy an image from a new digital stamp shop, Sasayaki Glitter that was showcased by the fabulous Aussie Annie. Well, what do you know...I am now the newest member of the Inspiration Design Team, so a huge thank you to Annie for championing my creative skills and a huge thank you to Naz and Kel for listening to her and inviting me along for the journey, I shall much enjoy colouring these cuties and sharing them with blog land!!

Anyway here is my debut card, the super cute Leila and Teddy

I used one of Jules' sketches as my starting point and wanted bright colours so the Pebbles paper pad was perfect. Little Leila and her teddy were coloured with Promarkers and the sentiment was cut from one of the papers.

If you pop over to the blog you will find not only is the first monthly challenge, Valentine's Day/Love is still open until 3rd March, but  that there are also some fantastic inspiration posts and links to the Facebook Group, you are sure to get a warm welcome!!

Cupcake anyone?

Hello there and I hope you are all well. I grabbed a few minutes to myself at the weekend and put together this cheerful card using my super duper stepper die set. I had a further delve into my papers and found Pebbles Sunny side.

I won Little Kiki with her cupcake recently so it was her first outing and she was coloured with Promarkers to coordinate with those lovely papers. All she needed was a little stardust on her cupcakes to finish off.

I would like to enter these challenges

More pink?!

I know...!! I'm not sure what has come over me but I can't seem to get enough of the colour at the moment, it must be all the beautiful hanging baskets and planters that are currently decorating Dorset!! Anyway, it's new challenge day at

and our theme this time is your favourite two embellishments and why?

Those of you that visit often will know that I tend not to use many embellishments but when I have a mind to it will be ribbon (to try and reduce the size of my ribbon mountain!!) and pearls for a little bit of sheen and interest .

I didn't want to overpower the fabulous stamp so went for a relatively CAS design using papers from Pebbles Garden Party...again!! Ribbon, pearls and that's it!!

Some challenges

In the Pink #75 - Anything Goes
Crafting for all seasons #107 - Bright and Beautiful
Top Tip challenge - Ribbon and pearls

Thank you for visiting my piece of blog land, I appreciate it xx

Follyfoot

Hello, hello my lovelies and I hope you are well today.

I am here to invite you to join in at As You Like It where the new theme is

It will come as no surprise that among my favourite literary guilty pleasures there happen to be a few that are equine in nature and my inspiration came from the Follyfoot series of books by Monica Dickens that became a popular TV series in the 70's and I sooooo wanted to be like Dora!!
Why did I choose Follyfoot? Well after my wonderful family my animals are so precious to me and give me so much pleasure, added to which they tolerate the nonsense that comes out of my mouth on a regular basis and don't judge me!! Case in point I can hear you yelling "shut up Sarah and show the card!!"......here it is

The rubber stamp is one of the very first that I ever bought and is called Charley with Willow that I coloured with SN pencils to match the pretty Pebbles paper. The sweet flowers were punched out of perfectly matching pink card (although looking at the picture it doesn't seem so!!) and I added a yellow gem to the centres.

Some challenges to enter
Bunny Zoe's - Furry Friends
Craft Your Passion #266 - Anything Goes
Love to Scrap #56 - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Oh so pretty
Crafting by designs - Summertime Fun
(more riding for me!!)

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope I have inspired you to join us at AYLI.

See you soon xx

April showers

Hello folks I hope you are enjoying/have enjoyed a good Saturday wherever you are. We have had one or two spits and spots of rain but the sky is still blue so can't complain.

Anyway here is a perfectly apt card to share with you

The delightful little maid is Maggie and I just love her - she is such a jolly little character. She was coloured with Promarkers to match the papers from Pebbles, which (apart from pretty florals and checks) conveniently had a sheet that says "rain, rain go away come again another day". I used another page to paper piece her umbrella and stamped the sentiment onto a die cut cloud...as you do!!

Some challenges to play along

Without Words - Under my umbrella
Crafty Catz #274 - Two or more patterned papers
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
The Sugar Bowl #123 - Anything Goes
( if it doesn't fit the brief please feel free to delete me!!)

The house is quiet so I'm going to have a play in my work room.

Thank you for your visit and your continued support, your comments make my day xx
