Christmas Shaker

Well here we are a week out from Christmas.  This time next week Father Christmas will have made his visit and we will be sitting down to Christmas dinner.  Still feeling like someone stole a couple of months from me though.

Today I am sharing a shaker card using Kennedy Grace products.  The christmas tree is in the background and the presents are stacked in layers with the squirrel in front of the shaker.  I used a mixture of moonbeams and mother of pearl sequins.  Shakers although a little time consuming are really quite fun to make.

Enjoy the week before christmas.

Bunny Hugs

I made this card for a friend who has just undergone major brain surgery.  Great news is all went well and she is recovering and getting stronger every day.

I used the very cute stamp set from MFT called Somebunny together with the Hugs die (love this die).  I have an orange thing going on with this card.  Orange and white are a lovely combination in my opinion.  The hugs is also cut in foam to pop it up for some dimension.

I am slowly increasing my ink collection using the little ink cubes which are ideal for sentiments.  I always admire sentiments that are colour matched.  Okay I realise this is not orange but Blueberry (I don't have orange yet) but I think its softer with the orange than black.

I followed the MFT Sketch Challenge 310, flipping it sideways for my inspiration.

See you soon

Counting Down!

I think I may be in denial about Christmas.  It just seems to be sneaking up very very fast.  I know I have loads to do and really need to get going. Hopefully posting this Christmas Ornament may just help. This super cute little image from Kennedy Grace Creations is such a joy to colour and even though he's a christmas critter I think her could be used all year round on projects.  I used a die cut from Frantic Stamper Inc to cut the ornament in very sparkly paper.  Then popped the image up on foam.  Added some silver twine and there you have a super cute and easy ornament to adorn the tree or a special gift tag.  I think these would look lovely against shiny white wrapping paper.

I know it looks huge in the photo but its approximately 2.5 x 2.5 inches in size.

Have a great day!
