Lineage Lateness

I really had no intention of building Topps Lineage.  I didn’t think I had bought very much, at least not enough to get a foothold on completing the set.  But, I guess a rack pack here and there over time adds up quickly for a 200 card set, and after sorting my cards, I saw that I was over halfway home on the base set.   However, the set is just not doing it for me.  I decided to choose either Lineage or Gypsy Queen to collect, and I guess I like Gypsy Queen better. 

 

I do like these minis, but I've already got the Rangers I wanted from Cardboard Catastrophes and don't really need these.  

 

Not sure how I ended up with two each of Cain and Gallardo, but they are for trade if anyone is interested.  My favorite insert is the 3D set, and I only have the Heyward.    I don’t have any of the pop ups, and only a couple of cloth stickers. 

If anyone is interested in these in trade, let me know.  Ideally, I'd like to trade for equivilant GQ cards, but I'm open to offers.

Lineage Rangers

I don't know what happened, but I very quickly changed my mind on Lineage.  I still love the mini relic cards, and some of the other inserts, but I have no interest in the base other than the Rangers cards.  Luckily,  neighboring state (OK) blog Cardboard Catastrophes (BTS, the more I read his blog and correspond with him, the more I realize we have in common- except I LOVE Star Wars) cares even less for Lineage and sent me the Rangers cards he had from his purchase:

This about covers my needs for Lineage base.  The Cruz card is super cool, and now I think I have all of the mini relics of the Rangers since I also received this Kinsler relic off eBay:

While the base doesn't do much for me, I still am enamored with the mini relics.  Once they come down in price, I will probably fish for a few more online.  I also really want the Josh Hamilton 3D card.

Topps Lineage Appetizer

For the past few days, I have been checking the local Walmart and Target for Lineage, with no success.  I will see if Cleve's (my local card shop) has any, but I don't get down to his shop as often as I would like. I have been very excited about this set for some reason and couldn't take it anymore and bought a few Rangers hits on eBay.

These mini 1975 Relic Cards are soooooo cool.  The colors are vibrant and glossy and almost feel like plastic.  These are not as off center as my scanner is projecting.  I haven't seen any of the non relic minis, but if they are similar in feel and thickness to the relic versions, I am all over building that set.

These are great too especially for the price I paid. I am anxious to see the 3D and cloth cards in real life.  I definitely am going to go after some more of the minis!
