Simon Says Stamp - Happy Camper Release

Hello and welcome to my blog and a brand new release from Simon Says Stamp.  This is the Happy Camper release and you use THIS LINK to take you to their website and view the entire collection.

My first card for this release features the Jenoblade illustrated stamp set called 'Cute Campers' together with the 'Simple Stars Stencil'.  I have also incorporated the use of the always useful 'Postage Stamp Edge Frames Die'.

I used the stencil on white cardstock and used blue ink and then used the stencil again on blue cardstock and used white pigment ink to create the background panels.

I used the Postage Stamp Edge Frames Die to die cut the blue panel and I also used the same size die to cut a kraft panel to ground the scene I was about to create.

I stamped the 'Cute Campers' images with black ink and coloured the images with Copic markers.  I used a white gel pen to add blooms to the shrubs behind the campground and to decorate the scarf along with other highlights.  Images were fussy cut and applied with foam tape.  The decorative panel was backed with white craft foam and applied to the white/blue star panel.

I stamped and applied the sentiment strip and with that this sweet card was complete.

Enjoy shopping the new release - available NOW!

The blog hop order can be found at the bottom of my blogpost today ⬇

To make my card today I have used the following products:-

I started by popping a panel of white cardstock in my Misti and using the Swiss Dots stamp set I did a rainbow of stamping using blue, yellow and pink inks and slightly overlapping them.  I adhered this to my card base.  I took a second white panel and used the A2 Frames Die to create the skinny frame and with the inside cut I trimmed it to create a grounding for the scene.  The frame and ground were glued in position.

Using the new Curled Fern Frond Die and some pastel cardstock I die cut the three fronds and glued them to the dotted background.

I stamped the adorable Jenoblade illustrated Birthday Dragons images that I was needing for my little scene and coloured with the following Copic marker combinations:-

Blue - BG32, BG11, BG0000
Pink - RV02, RV10, RV0000
Yellow - YR21, E50, Y00
Shading areas with - C3, C1, C00
Blush - R22, R21, R20, R00

I fussy cut the images and using either a single or double layer of foam tape so they really jump out at you (not in a bad way lol) I adhered them to the background.

To complete the card I used one of the two sentiments included in the Birthday Dragons stamp set.  I stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed in gold and applied the strip to the card with foam tape.

A few sparkling clear sequins and some white gel pen highlights completed the project.

Thanks so much for coming by my blog today, I hope you like my card and feel inspired. There will be a second blog hop tomorrow so do look out for that and happy shopping!

My Favorite Things - August Vault Release Day!

It's release day for the August Vault at MFT Stamps and all of the re-released Laina Lamb products are now available for purchase.  Here's what I've used to make this card:-

I took a panel of white cardstock and used a light grey ink to stamp the stacks of books image from Books & Buddies illustrated by Jenoblade.  I die cut the panel using the Stax Die-namics, backed the panel with white craft foam and adhered to a grey panel then to my card base.

The Precious Polaroids Die-namics are such a useful set to have in your stash and I'm personally very happy to see them make a comeback.   I chose two sizes of the set of four and I die cut MFT's cardstock 3 times each for each colour and I glued them in stacks.

The next task was to stamp the images from Books & Buddies with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and colour them in soft Copic colour combinations:-

Bunny (top) - E31, W3, W1, W0
Bear - E44, E43, E42, E41, W00
Bunny (bottom) E55, E31, E41, C3, C1, C00
Blue - B01, BG10, BG000
Pink - V01, V000
Green - G20, G40, YG11

I used a black glaze pen to emphasise the eyes and foot pads.  Once dry I used a white gel pen to highlight certain points and then I glued the images behind each Polaroid frame opening.

I glued the pink frame directly to the background and the blue frame was attached with a single layer of foam tape and lastly the green frame has a double layer behind it, making for a casual stack.

To complete the card I stamped the sentiment on a sentiment strip and applied it with foam tape and three Nuvo Crystal Drops in 'Malted Milk' completed the scene.

My Favorite Things - July Release Countdown Day 1 (Card 1 of 2)

I have two cards today on my blog that feature some of the new Jenoblade illustrated stamp sets from tomorrow's release from MFT Stamps.  My second card today will be up at 12 noon Eastern.  Here's what I used to make this card:-

I created a panel measuring 3 1/4" x 8 1/4" and I stamped the sentiment in the top right corner.  I then ink blended 4 delicate pastel focal points using Mowed Lawn Kitsch Flamingo, Squeezed Lemonade and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Inks.  I backed this panel with white craft foam and applied it to a slimline panel with dimensions of 3 1/2" x 8 1/2" and set it to one side.

Using Memento Ink in Black Tuxedo, I stamped the images from Super Rad Skaters.  I coloured the images using Copic markers in the following combinations:-

Fox - E37, E15, E13, C3, C1, C0
Bunnies - E44, E31, E41
Blushes - R22, R21, R20, R00

Ramp - W4, W3, W1, B91

I backed each element with dimensional foam tape and applied them to the ink blended background and to finish it off simply, I highlighted a few points with a white gel pen and dotted in interested to the trees.

My Favorite Things - Precious Pals

I didn't get to play with 'Precious Pals' when MFT Stamps released it recently and so as soon as life presented an opportunity I coloured it up and created this card.   Here are links to what I've used:-

This is a slimline card with finished dimensions  3 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches and I created a card base and adhered another white panel to it.

I prepared a slightly smaller panel and masked a line and then softly ink blended a 'rainbow' of colours to make a little diffused warmth behind each position where a critter would be placed.  I stamped the sentiment boldly, backed the panel with white craft foam and applied it to the card base.

Using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black I stamped the adorable pals from Precious Pals.  I then coloured the images with the following Copic marker combinations:-

Pup with Garnet - T7, T6, T4, T2, C3, C1, C00, R89, R39, RV29
Kitten with Diamond - E37, Y28, YR24, YR20, E50, C3, C1, C00, BG000, BG90
Bunny with Emerald - E44, E43, E42, E41, E40, G19, G02, G00
Squirrel with Amethyst - T6, T5, W5, W3, W1, V17, V04, V01
Fox with Blue Topaz - E37, E15, E13, E11, C3, C1, C0, B02, B00, B0000
Blushes - R22, R21, R20, R00

The images were die cut using the coordinating die-namics and then I backed each image with dimensional foam tape and applied them to their matching background ink blend.

Eyes were emphasised with a black glaze pen and then I used a white gel pen to highlight certain points and added 'sparkles' to the gemstones.

Last but not least I glued some clear gemstones into the background and then the card was complete.

Thanks for joining me, I'll be back soon with something new!

My Favorite Things - New Greetings Selection

Hello friends!   I've a new card today that uses one of the new stamp sets from the New Greetings Selection mini release by MFT Stamps which is already available for purchase.

Here's what I've used:-

I started my shadow box card by using the Shadow Box Die-namics and some sturdy white cardstock to form the box.  I ink blended four grass elements and adhered 3 inside the box and for the outside one, I stamped the sentiment from Greetings for Good Humans before glueing into position.

I stamped the images I was needing from the lovely Tweet Friends illustrated by Jenoblade.  I coloured the images using the following Copic markers:-

Chicks - Y19, Y15, Y06, Y02, Y000, YR07, R22, R21, R20, R00
Bird Bath - W4, W3, W1, B93, B41
Bird House - C3, C1, C0, W4, W3, W1, B93, B41
Flowers - R85, RV34, R81, YG03, YG13, YG17, V09, V17, B60, G16

Points were highlighted with a white gel pen then images die cut.

I adhered the large birdhouse image inside the card and one chick was glued just above the sentiment and for the flying chick, I attached a thin strip of acetate behind it and suspended it from the front of the shadow box card.

My Favorite Things - Jenoblade Release Day

It's always a good day when there are new Jenoblade stamps to buy from MFT!  Today is that day this month, the release is live and so shop 'til you drop!  Here's what I've used to make this sweet slimline card:-

I created a slimline card base and applied a panel of Chantilly Cream cardstock sized a quarter of an inch smaller.  I then prepared a white panel 1/4 inch smaller than the cream panel and ink blended it and then splattered with water and blotted it up.  I popped it in my Misti and stamped the sentiment and then glued it to the cream panel.

I stamped the images from Pandastic.  Those adorable bears don't need to much colouring but I used Copic markers in C3, C1, E41 and C00 to shade their white parts and R22, R21, R20, R00 to blush their cheeks. The bamboo was coloured with G16, YG13 and FYG1.  I die cut using the coordinating die-namics.

I wanted to keep this card simple and fun so I didn't embellish other than to highlight points with a white gel pen.  I decided on a layout for my die-cut images and I backed them with either a single or double layer of white craft foam and adhered in position on the background.

Hi!  Here's my second card of the day featuring Jenoblade illustrated stamps for the May release by MFT Stamps.  Here are the MFT products used to make this project:-

Starting with the background, I ink blended an A2 panel with Sno-Cone ink by MFT, then I used one of MFT's sun-ray type stencils and a little yellow ink and super softly added some rays through the clear water.  I used Blueprints 25 to create the faux stitched edge.  I stamped the sentiment and adhered the panel to my card base.  I used Stitched Snow Drifts to create the sandy sea floor and ink blended using Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink and added ripples and stones using Copic markers. I backed this piece with foam tape and applied to the background panel having also used Blueprints 25 to match the stitched edge of the blue panel.

I stamped the images from Fintastic Friends using Eiffel Tower ink by MFT.  I then coloured the images using these Copic marker combinations:-

Mermaid Skin - E35, E33, E11, E00
Blushes - R22, R21, R20
