I am not sure what happened, but I just realized that despite making lace on a fairly regular schedule (and actually finishing things!), I have not posted since early March! For some reason the bottleneck now is with scanning finished projects so I can post them on my blog.
I completed this little guy earlier this month. It is another snowflake from Geklöppelte Weihnachtssterne. It had been a while since I had made petals using this metallic thread, which is probably the reason why they are not as even as I would like them to be.
The metallic petals are amazing - very uniform in shape! Pretty motif.

You're being much too critical! I can't even imagine doing this kind of 'snowflake' pattern in bobbin lace, especially since I have no idea how to do bobbin lace, but I've observed the bobbin lacers who attend the festivals with us. I've never seen them do this kind of pattern. Those flowers look like clunies!
ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed how many different kinds of needlework you do!
