Bikes

This moment is brought to you by craigslist.

Eden has been blowing on dandelions wishing for a princess bike. David is so in love with his spiderman bike (Although he really doesn't care about spiderman. He's been riding Abby's pink barbie bike for a year...BTW he still loves it and calls it his motorcycle).

Yesterday we went to the park three times to ride bikes.

House on 26th street

Say hello to the front of our 1925 house.
Now say hello to the fake front of the house (where everyone enters).

You know how sometimes when you have SO MUCH to say, you would rather just not say anything at all?

That's how I feel. I wish I could skip what has been happening and jump into a mundane blog post. What's the point of having a blog then? I must record a few things because when I'm 54 years old and Eden asks me how I moved my family into a house 85 years old, no dishwasher, 2 bedrooms and a creepy leaky basement...I can answer with this brief post.

So far...we LOVE the house.
Glad to be renting though...because we are so broke...it's almost not funny. To say you have $10 in your savings account sounds absurd; we may or may not have that much. I'm not telling.

The house is roomy and open. Hard wood floors. Practically no closet space, therefore if we are not immediately using it...it goes in a tub in the creepy basement. We are literally one block away from an AMAZING park, a pond with a train around it, a FREE zoo and a small water park. All the streets have sidewalks (Hallelujah!! sorry Mississippi). It is flat and perfect for bike riding. The bus system is awesome. Purdue is infested with one-way streets. I am not a fan.

That's pretty much it. Everyone is super friendly, although I am homesick for familiarity.
I hope it comes soon.

First Tooth

Eden lost her first tooth! 4 1/2 years old. I screamed out of shock and horror when she showed me her tooth. Isn't that so early?!? It became loose last week when she was eating corn on the cob. Then a few days ago it popped out when she bit a plastic toy while playing with Ruthie. She is so excited about it. She tells everyone! She is very pleased with her pink barbie toothbrush the toothfairy brought.

Our Irish twins

Park City

Paul & I spent 24 hours without the children. We had the best time sleeping in and eating breakfast in bed at 9:00am. At first it was strange not having any children. We decided we need to get away more often so we are comfortable with just each other. It was a lot of fun being together. We were happy to come back to the children. We love them.

Scooter rides with papa

Visiting friends

We love Mandy, Ben, Teagon & Meg!
Mandy is one of my college roommates. Visiting with Mandy made me want to get in my pj's, eat cookie dough, jump on her bed and talk about life. I had the best roommates. I miss all of them.

We love cousins!!!
