assorted cards

Good morning, thanks for stopping by.  I hope everyone has had a wonderful break and for us here in Australia, the kids are back at school today YAY!!!! Hence why I have the time to show yo what I have been up to.  Well last year was HUGE for myself and my family.  I slowly started to get back into work after massive abdomen surgery, my husband started at uni for the beginning of his new career choice, and my kids settled into their new school.  On top of that I had my new little business which is growing every day and thanks to my wonderful loyal customers is becoming quiet the success :-)

so enough about the boring... I wanted to share with you a couple of my recent cards.  I know I don't get on here all the time, but as with everyone, time just goes by so fast.

these first couple of cards are new baby cards using DP from Maja Designs.  these ones in particular are vintage baby ephemera cards available in store here. flowers are of course Wild orchid crafts and I have also used some fabric daisies which I am hoping to add to the shop today :-)  the little pram die is a memory box die.  Acetate butterfly is one of my own makes and the die cut flying butterfly on the third card is from a Tattered lace die set also available here

The next card is made using a card topper in the image from Mo Manning.

The next bunch of cards are simple cards with verses on the front.  I tend to mask verses and add others to them so they say what I want (e.g. the last card was a christmas stamp which I masked out the christmas words and then stamp a birthday verse :-)  thanks for stopping by XO

please drop by my online shop I try and stock a good variety of items that you can't get in an everyday craft store XO Tania

Bundle of cards- Just Inklined, Delicious Doodles, Magnolia, Sylvia Zet Whimsy,

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by :-) My apologies again for my absence- I wouldn't have thought a new baby could make the days so much shorter :-) So I thought I would upload a few pic of some cards I have done at once :-)

Below is a golden Retriever image by Just Inklined.  It was made for a customer who wanted a white only card.  I needed to add a little copper colour to define the image, but mainly kept to white. I embossed plain white card and used white flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Die cuts are Spellbinders, Tim Holtz, Magnolia and Joy Crafts. The little dangle charm is handmade.

Below is an image by Delicious Doodles called spitfire.  I needed no colour for this image and kept the card quiet neutral for a man.  dies used are from Heartfelt Creations and Cheery Lynn. The layers and printed paper is from a Prima pad - Engraver collection.  I stained up some muslin cloth with distress inks and used charms from ebay and Nini's Things from facebook

Below is Tilda with many hearts. I used Desert Sand ink by memento to create a no lines effect.  I used dies from Magnolia, La La Lands, Joy Crafts and Tim Holtz.  DP is Kaiser Craft pad called Lavender Haze. Flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and charm is from Nini's Things. Sorry I did not keep copic colours.

available to purchase https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/186468473/handmade-boxed-magnolia-tilda-friend-or?

Below is a digi image by Sylvia Zet called Goldie. sentiment is Whimsy notables I have used die cuts from memory box and Tim Holtz. Flowers forom Wild Orchid crafts and i have scattered some starfish around that I picked up off my cousins wedding's table decorations (cant throw out good embellishments!!). DP is Bo Bunny Prairie Chic.

Saturated Canary "Princess Zella"

Good evening!!! Phew I've finally got some time to upload these cards I have had done for quiet some time! So sorry for my absence lately- things are just a whirlwind here... preparing for our baby (due 1st September) and also I have taken on a local monthly market called the handmade expo.  I do the Morayfield   one as it is close to home.  It doesn't make me millions, but keeps me out of trouble and pays for a copic or two :-)  Oh and it is a REALLY good reason to keep on crafting ('cause we all need a reason for that LOL!!!)
Anywho, enough gabbling, tonight I have another Princess Zella image by the awesome Krista Smith from Saturated Canary.  I'm sorry it seems all I am doing is her images lately, but I just love them!!!  Onto the card....
I have used papers "Jaunt" by Authentique and "Kraft Notes" from Forever Friends pad.  The dies are MFT "large leafy flourish" and the corner die is a Cheery Lynn "Lace Corner Deco die".  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts (wild rose, poppies, hip rosebud, gypsophila) and I have added some crystals that I stuck to some fishing line to the flower arrangement.  The organza ribbon is from my stash ad the happy birthday cake charm I got from ebay.

Copic colours used were:
E 000, 00
R 81, 85
RV 13
E 15, 18, 19
B 000, 93, 97

Thanks for dropping by, I'll try and get a couple more cards loaded later tonight.

school fete cards for children to make

good morning! well I must apologise for the lack of posts I have done of late....I promise I haven't been neglecting my card making :0) My children's school is celebrating 20 years with a huge fete, and not only am I treasurer of the committee, I volunteered to supply the prep/1's with enough cards to make for a stall they can man....crazy huh??? these are a start. I have cut/designed each card keeping in mind that 5-6 year olds will be putting them together. But, they are coming up really nice! I figure if they can get $2 each card, they can make about $1000 for the school (yep- I am making about 500 cards all up!). the cookie monster and elmo are punch outs I found the idea on you tube the car and space ship/astronaut are cut using my cricut (YAY! after 2 years of sitting there looking at me, I have finally been brave enough to use it!) I hope the kids will like making their cards.....I have only done 90 so far, so have a long way to go, but the fete is in september so I have some time up my sleeves. Well I best get to it then- they're not going to make themselves LOL!!! Thanks for stopping by Take care XOX Tania

sylvia zet wee stamp digi print card...silver fairy

Good evening, tonight I have a card with a beautiful digi stamp by Sylvia Zet from wee stamps called Silver Fairy. You can get the image here ...you will be seeing more of her images as I couldn't resist or stop at one!!! I coloured her up with prismas (of course) and plenty of stickles. The card is cut using my grand spellbinders scallop circle and the nesting circles, I have hand cut using an assortment of cups and plates. The doily is cut from a Cheery Lynn die called "english tea party". the flowers are wild orchid crafts the sentiment stamp is from a clear Kaisercraft set called "friendship sentiments". thanks for stopping by....... XOX Tania

PS DONT FORGET TO LEAVE A COMMENT FOR MY BLOG CANDY YOU DONT NEED TO BE A FOLLOWER

TOP TIP....I STRUGGLED TO GET THE INTRICATE DETAIL CUT OUT FROM THE CHEERY LYNN AND MARIANNE DIES.....I TRIED WAX PAPER, AND AN ASSORTMENT OF OTHER THINGS...THE BEST WAY GET THE CUT OUT OFF THE DIE IN ONE PIECE IS TO USE BLUE TACK...I ROLL THE BLUE TACK IN MY HANDS TO REDUCE SOME OF THE TACKINESS STARTING FROM THE EDGE- JUST PRESS ONTO THE PAPER AND CAREFULLY PULL AWAY.

I have again used a digi image from Fred she Said...I added some dimension magic, stickles and on the stamens, I added some sparkly fluff. The paper I used doesn't have a name/company stamp (some of my paper I have bought over the years from sales...so this one could well be over five years old!) The sentiment is from Stamp It. thanks for stopping by...Its back to work tomorrow for another week...it just gets in the way of life doesn't it LOL???? so postings will be scarce over the next week. Check out her link she is awesome!. Here I have a stamped image of Penny Black's "sweet Hedgehog" on the front. The sentiment is from a kaiser clear mini set. The large flower is cut using my Tim Holtz Tattered florals die, and the little pink flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts. I have attached the flowers to a circle cut using the scalloped circle spellbinder nestie. The pearl dots are using liquid pearls. Thanks for stopping by tonight XOX Tania

happy new year + a birthday card

Hello!! And a big MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone. Boy 2011 sure was exciting...we moved into our new home, my two beautiful babies started prep, lots of health issues (which I have told them I'll have no more of that in 2012 LOL!) a new kitten to the household, and of course, my blog which I hope has been sucessful and you have all enjoyed browsing through :0) I have been busy making my calendars and doing my market stall every now and then, but tonight, I sat down and did a couple of cards with my new set from stampology called "silhouette Blossoms". I purchased these from Arnolds, my favourite scrapping store (BTW they have moved to "The Zone" at Rothwell up near Mr Toys) and was inspired by some cards there using liquid pearls....here's my take on them. I have used magnolia's Doohickey Fence Die, some blue liquid pearls and some Glamour Dust. The sentiment is a clear stamp from set unknown. Basic cardstock to matt.
Take care be safe XOX Tania

I am entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge my first for the year. check out the other entries- from what I've seen so far they are pretty good!!!

I have used the embossing/cutting folder DS0907; ornate butterfly LR0113; and  doily flower circle LR0168. The inside butterflies are using a medium EK sucess puch and the smaller butterflies are puch out from my Martha Stewart butterfly border punch. embossed butterfly card

goodmorning! today I have a real quick and easy card, but still very nice.  It is a trifold card and I have used basic bazzil, rhinestones and ribbon- so you dont need stamping/colouring skills to do this one! The edging is simply little dots/lines using a white zig pen.  the embossing folder is a cuttlebug butterfly one.  I have rounded the edges with a coner rounder on two opposite corners of the coloured mats.
I am entering this card in to the following challenges:
crafty creations challenge- anything but square
papertake weekly- anything goes

CUTTLEBUG SHEEP DIE CUT CARD

Good afternoon, I have a quick and easy card today.  When the cuttlebug dies first came to Australia, I went a little crazy and bought a stack of them...I dont often use them these days now that I have a new love of stamping.  Then over at Papertake Weekly, they had a challenge to use die cuts- the perfect excuse to pull out my old dies!  This sheep is from the cuttlekids range called "sofia".  I have used a shimmer crushed cardstock for her wool backed on black card stock.  the scroll up the top is another cuttlebug die "ornamental". The sentiment piece is cut using a spellbinder (sorry I'm not sure of the name??) ...I find the nesting of the spellbinders leave too much of the backing card, so I sut the top piece through my bigshot, then I use my blade and cut around the outside of the die by hand- that way I only get about a 2mm shadow for the base plate. I have followed the sketch by Dawny for the Simon Says Stamp challenge.  I have used papers: Cherry Arte "arcade retro realm" (double sided) and My Mind's Eye "lil robots multi bots" plus the usual bazzil. Rhinestones are by docrafts papermania. I'm entering this card into the above two challenges.  Wording is computer generated.

thanks for stopping by. XOX Tania
