Rogue Trooper on the Painting Table

Following my BLOG post about Bleaseworld and Rogue Trooper, I went to my lead mountain. I knew I had some SciFi Adventurers by Bronze Age Miniatures  that could proxy as Genetic Infantry, Norts and Southers. I also have the few items issued by Mongoose in the same area. What I had forgotten was that I had some primed and ready to go. A quick few hits of paint, and some GI's are done. The proxy Gun Drones, proxy Norts and proxy Southers are still in progress...and may remain that way for awhile longer as I have some WW2 and some Mars Attacks on the table. I don't usually jump queue, but I did...check out the results. Not bad for a rush job. Sorry about the photos, I'm still learning...

Conan Update

A Bronze Age Fantasy Adventurer figure not from the Kickstarter

Yup. I jumped in at the $135.00 level...the Kickstarter is off to a meteoric start. Just X days in and it's collected $519,000 USD in pledges. The backer awards are massive. Now, they've started to add characters and monsters from from the stories as add-on so expect the backers to add more money.

If this arrives on time, it looks like 2016 will be the year of painting Conan.

Blease World and Rogue Trooper

Bleaseworld is a good BLOG. Like me, he jumped into Mongoose Miniature's Rogue Trooper Kickstarter that followed the very successful Judge Dredd Kickstarter. Like me he gets a few figures now and again. The figures are great but the delivery of the product was due September of 2013. I'm happy they are finally producing the figures. I'm happy that we are starting to get quality products. I also know that Mongoose will deliver.

For the unititiated, I clipped this from Wikipedia about Rogue Trooper.

"Rogue Trooper is a science fiction strip in the British comic  2000 AD, created by Gerry Finley-Day and Dave Gibbons. It follows the adventures of Rogue, a G.I. (or Genetic Infantryman, a genetically modified, blue-skinned, manufactured elite soldier) and his three comrades'  search for the Traitor General. His comrades are in the form of biochips (onto which a G.I.'s entire personality is downloaded at the time of death for later retrieval) and are named Gunnar (mounted on Rogue's rifle), Bagman (on his backpack ) and Helm (on his helmet). He is genetically engineered to be immune to almost all known toxins. He can submerge in strong acid unaffected, and is able to withstand a vacuum in his bare skin."
