OH CHRISTMAS TREE....

Over at JUST CUTE BEARS this week the brief is "ANYTHING BUT SQUARE and INCLUDE A TAG".....another excuse for me to make a shaped card :0)...i do love my square cards,but must admit i do like a bit of variety...the spice of life...lol.
The card does fold down to fit just perfect into a 6x6 square envelope.
I've used a template to cut the tree shape....and i wasn't happy with the colour of the green cardstock i'd used...so out came my Cosmic Shimmer misters,the problem then should i use rich gold or silver...if in doubt go for the two,you guessed it i did!...must admit IRL it shimmers beautifully :0)..and then to give it alittle more sparkle i added some stickles to the outer edge...i wish i could take some good photo's i can never capture the shimmer and shine like some of you experts out there :0).
The stamp i've used is a FF one coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's then cut out in a triangle shape to fit nicely in the tree shape...i've also given this the gold treatment...i've rubbed an old gold ink pad all around the image and also on the tag containing the sentiment....the sentiment was part of the main FF stamp but i used it seperately.
I've finished off with a bell charm and alittle glamour dust.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY......

Morning all.....i say this every week but where's the week gone again...it soon will be Christmas before we know it!....
This week at JUST CUTE BEARS the theme is "Christmas In July"....so dig out those Christmas stamps and come and join in!...that will be one less to worry about two weeks before Christmas...lol.



For my card i went with a Forever Friends stamp that's exclusive to the Glitter Pot "Christmas Gift"...coloured using Promarkers and Prisma's...the sentiment is also part of a FF stamp i just inked the sentiment part up.
The base is made up of two different size shaped cards cut using my Cricut and the "Wild Card"...the white bottom layer is 5 3/4" and the black layer is 5 1/4".
The other layers have been done with the scallop circles nesties.
I've threaded some gingham ribbon througth the holes which i love to do with these type of cards.
Finished off with some glamour dust to the ribbon and bow on the image and some diamond stickles around is feet.

DT FOR JUST CUTE BEARS....SKETCH BY HELEN.

Well it's that time of the week again....who pinched the week!...it only mean's it's time for another challenge over at Just Cute Bears...this week we have a fabby sketch for you to follow by one of my fellow teamies Helen...i loved working with this,thanks Helen.

We've also got a sponsor this week "MELJEN DESIGNS"....one lucky winner will win 3 bear images...can i enter..LOL.

For my card i've used a Forever Friends stamp from the "Celebration set"...coloured using Promarkers and alittle shading with Prisma's...not really much colouring on this one...his hat i've paper pieced to match the backing paper,which is K & Co "Hopscotch"...not sure why but i love this paper pad.

The sentiment is from the Papermania Clare Curd's Sentiments set.

You can see i've used an old CD for the circle part of the sketch...that wasn't what i originally planned...i'd reached for the CD to use as a template to cut round...but when i layed it down i had a light blub moment...lol...why put myself througth cutting out when i can use the CD as it is...and i think it works ok,i've never used one on a card before but hey there's a first time for everything!...and really that's how the sentiment and the music note embellishments came about.The notes were printed off the computer and coloured with a black Copic marker.

JUST CUTE BEARS....FOREVER FRIENDS....FRIDAY SKETCHERS and TIMBROSCRAPMANIA

Hi....hope you've all had an enjoyable Bank Holiday.I'd like to share a card with you which i've made to cover 4 challenges :-
JUST CUTE BEARS.....this week the theme is "THANK -YOU".
FOREVER FRIENDS....the challenge is to make a "KINETIC CARD".
FRIDAY SKETCHERS....lovely sketch to work with.
TIMBROSCRAPMANIA....which is a colour theme of "FASHION PINK"

I've made a shaker card which allows me to enter Forever friends....the stamp i've used is Forever Friends "Bunch Of Daisies" coloured with Promakers and Prisma's....the bunch of daisies i've coloured with a Copic Spica Glitter pen and then added a self adhesive gem to the middle of each one.
I've added sequins and tiny little clear square gems to the shaker part which i've cut out using both nestie oval and oval scallop,i've used a piece of acetate over the apeture,then mounted the frame over the image using dimensional tape.
The paper is Papermania "Sweet Nothings"...the paper in the corner with the "thank you" sentiment on came out of a Creative Cardmaking Mag.
The paper asters are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Ash branch was cut using a Leone Em punch.

FOREVER FRIENDS CHALLENGE......."PINK and GREEN"

Hi....thought i'd make a card for the Forever Friends Challenge this week where a colour combo of "PINK and GREEN" is asked for....

For my card i've used Forever Friends stamp "Birthday Cake" coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's with alittle glamour dust threw in for good measure...lol.

The paper i printed out off the computer i think it's from a Funky Fairies set.

The sentiment is part of the image stamp but i decided to stamp and use it on it's own.

JUST CUTE BEARS and STAMP WITH FUN......

Hi......i've got a card i'd like to share with you again today,one i will be entering into 2 challenges...First challenge Just Cute Bears where this week there's a recipe to follow "3 BRADS,2 PAPERS and 1 RIBBON".....second challenge which this card covers is Stamp With Fun where they're asking you to use "STRIPES".

RECIPE FOR CARD :-
Stamp.....Forever Friends...coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's.
Papers....Basic Grey "Cupcake"
Sentiment...embossed gold Mirri card using a Crafts-Too embossing folder "Alphabet set-upper case"and each letter punched out using a Woodware circle punch......note to myself...do not use Mirri card when the card needs to be put on blog.
Brads...Cosmo Cricket.
Ribbon from stash...the ribbon looks more like silver in the photo,but is a pale gold edged with a deeper gold.
I've added alittle gold glamour dust to the Champagne but that's not showing too good either.

JUST CUTE BEARS CHALLENGE....."MULTIFOLD"

Hi.....i'd like to share a quick and simple card with you today,one i've made this morning for the Just Cute Bears Challenge,this week a "Multifold" card is asked for,the only other thing required is a cute bear image.
The image i've used is a Forever Friends one printed off a new FF CD i recently purchased.I've printed the image three times and decoupaged it up alittle,it's then been layered up using my circle nesties onto a "Springy" card....i love this style of card but hadn't made one of these for awhile.
Finished off with flowers,pearls and a ribbon bow from stash.

SKETCH SATURDAY....."MR FIX IT !"

For Sketch Saturday (No 17) this week i decided to use another one of my new stamps and do a mans card.
The stamp a Forever Friends by Docrafts,coloured with Promarkers,Prisma's and a touch of Sakura,matted and layered using Nestabilities.
Cardstock is heavy weight leather look.
The paper and tape measure vellum is HOTP "Workbench Ephemera",i think it works really well with this image.
The "Mr Fix It" is cut and embossed on the Wizard and i have rubbed over it with a Versafine Vintage Sepia ink pad.
The thanks sentiment is a studio G clear stamp.
Eyelets and brad from stash.
Metal spanner from my hubby's shed...lol,can't think what he'd need this for,well it's too late now,and there's another one with my name on it...lol

PAPERTAKE WEEKLY AND A SPOON FULL OF SUGAR....MEETS FOREVER FRIENDS

I try not to combine challenges if i can help it,but i have today,Papertake Weekly Challenge this week is a sketch by the talented Katherina,and i must say a dream of a sketch to work with,this is one i shall be using again... A Spoon Full Of Sugar Challenge 17 "Christmas Is Coming".

The stamp is Forever Friends from the Christmas set,coloured using Promarkers and Prisma's,matted and layered using Nesties.

The papers are by Funky Hand,"Yule Be Funky" CD.

The sentiment stamp is SeeD's "Chistmas Messages".

The ribbon is from Poppicrafts,brads and gems from stash,holly punched out with Xcut punch.

I don't know why it is in the photo the colour of the hat and scarf look a completely different shade of pink to the backing papers,but IRL match perfectly.

FUNKY FAIRY'S CHALLENGE No 33....

Funky fairy's challenge No 33 is a sketch this week,i've never entered this challenge before,but felt like a bit of a change,a change is as good as a rest they say...lol
The stamp i've used is a Forever Friends from the Celebration set by Docrafts,coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's,cut out with nestabilities and 3d'd with foam tape.
The papers are all from a download actually from Funky Fairy's,"Funky Flowers".
The sentiment stamp is by Autumn Leaves.
The corner is cut with a die on my Wizard and the flowers are cut from one of the backing papers.
