DU2DS......"BUTTERFLY CATCHER".

Well where does the time go!...it's been two weeks since our last dare at DU2DS it seems like no time to me,this week our dare is a colour theme "GREEN,BLUE & WHITE/CREAM".

I've used one of Chris's(Sketching Stamper) new butterfly fairy images "Butterfly Catcher" which can be purchased along with so many more must haves from HERE.

I've used Copic's and Prisma's to colour the image and added alittle glamour dust to her wings.The papers are all K&Co "Hopscotch" and the textured card is Core'Dinations.The punched out butterfly border panel i've done using a Xcut border punch,i've used the tiny butterflies out of it around the image and also added alittle glamour dust to these.

The swirls have been made with an Ek Success florish punch.Self adhesive pearls to finish.

ORIENTAL BLOSSOM.....

Well over at Dare U 2 Digi Stamp we have a new challenge for you,this week our theme is "DISTRESSING"....now this can be torn edges,sanding...etc and you must include one digital image.

I've used Chris's (Sketching Stamper) image "Oriental Blosssom" which i've coloured with Copics.The main image ive triple embossed and IRL looks like a glazed tile,i've been wanting to try this for awhile and thought this image was perfect for that technique.I've coloured some extra flowers and then glazed them with glossy accents.The papers i've had forever and don't now know where i got them from,sorry.The three black panels are Black Magic Core'Dinations "Potion No9"which i recently recieved along with so many fab goodies in some RAK from my blogging buddy VICKY.I've used a cuttlebug folder to embossed them and then sanded them down to reveal the colour beneath...it's a perfect match colour wise to the bottom DP.Lastly i've added some self adhesive pearls,these are Kanban.

From this week the challenge will be changing to fortnightly,so we will have a new challenge for you every two weeks,the next challenge then will be 14th August.We are also starting to have on board a Guest Designer each month...this month we have with us the very talented JEN.And each month we will be picking a new GD from our regular challenge entrants.Hope you will all join us for our new DARE this week and a big thank you to all who took up the challenge with us last week.

I haven't been around much lately leaving regular comments,i've left comments mainly for people entering the challenges i'm on the DT for,sorry it's been a bit hit and miss....my mom's not been well again for afew weeks and as ended up back in hospital this week,my head's been all over the place and must admit i haven't had much interest which sounds really bad....i've struggled to even get my DT cards done due to time as well as lack of interest,i don't really want to give my Dt posts up because up untill now have really enjoyed being on those teams,so for now will try to plod along...i'd made up my mind not to post anything about my mom on my blog but decided i needed to explain why things have been the way they have for awhile now.

DU2DS...SKETCH BY LARISSA

Well where are the weeks going?,we are now onto challenge 17 at Dare U 2 Digi Stamp and this week we have a lovely sketch for you to follow by one of the DT Larissa,thank you Larissa a dream to work with!
For my card i've used the "Heart Of Hearts" image by Chris(Sketching Stamper) which can be purchased along with so many other digi images HERE.I printed the image off and coloured it completly with distress ink "Antique Linen"and then used a Cosmic Shimmer Mist "Rich Gold"sprayed lightly over the top,not showing too good in the photo but lovely and shimmery IRL,i've done the same to the sentiment after printing it off on the computer using "Chocolate Box" font.
For the centre panel of the card i've used some handmade paper which also as a slight shimmer and sparkle to it,again not showing up too good in photo,over the top i've used acetate which i printed the heart of hearts image onto,i firstly reduced the image size and then tiled it to give me an all over pattern,i've then added black dew drops to sort of seperate the hearts.
I wanted to finish off with metal corners,but do you think i could find them,so had to us peel-offs which i added tiny pearls to each of the corner ends.Peel-offs i can hear you saying...yes i know i haven't used any since i first started card making,but to be honest i don't think they look that bad!
Everything else ribbon,faceted hearts and gems from stash.

ON THE PHONE....

Hi....today it's Dare U 2 Digi Stamp challenge day,and the dare this week is "ANYTHING BUT A CARD",that could be a box,bag,ATC,bookmark,etc...the list's endless,just let your imagination run away with you...lol.The only thing we ask is you us a digital image on your project.For mine i decided to alter a really cheap address/phone book i picked up for the grand sum of 49p from Home Bargains...I used Chris's (Sketching Stamper)image "On The Phone" which i thought was just perfect for this project....you can purchase this along with so many other gorgeous images from HERE.....and i'll warn you when you see her new Butterfly Fairy's you'll want them all...lol.I've used Copic markers and Prisma's as my colouring medium and then used glamour dust over her top.The leather look paper/card really looks and feels like the real thing,i'm not too sure where i got this from,i think i had it from the NEC and it maybe MIC.I've threaded a ribbon througth the spine of the book and added some black faceted beads.Ribbon,ribbon slider and large flat backed pearls from stash.

The above photo shows how the book looked before i started altering the cover,the back of the book as also been altered but i haven't taken a photo,it's just been matted and layered like the front and ends on a leather look layer.I stuck with the same colours as the book started with due to the fact the pages inside are patterned like you see on the front with pink and black.

This just show's a close up of the image...love her!

And lastly i've been given an award by the lovely Sue (Scoopysstuff)....thank you Sue it's so kind of you to think of me :0),i so appreciate this and honoured to recieve it, but at the minute not really worthy of it,i've been a bad and lazy blogger of late,sorry everyone,i don't want to get all heavy on you but i've been alittle down and have struggled to really do anything.I hope this all soon passes and i can get back to my usual self,perhaps midlife crisis...lol,whatever i wish it would go!

I would like to pass this onto the following two people who have come to my blog on a regular basis and left me very kind and encouraging comments...VICKY and DONNA...thank you girls i so appreciate them more than you will ever know :0).

PINK,BLACK AND WHITE....

PINK.BLACK and WHITE...that's our dare this week at Dare U 2 Digi Stamp,yes another Friday's rolled round,doesn't time fly when you're having fun!We had a great response last week for the embossing challenge,so thanks to all who joined us we so enjoyed visiting your blogs :0)and hope to see you all back with us again this week.
For my card i've used one of Chris's (Sketching Stamper) images "Tulip Bowl",i love this image and so useful for so many occassions,this along with loads of other gorgeous images can be found HERE.I've used Copic markers and Prisma's as my colouring medium and have cut the image out using round nesties.The textured card is DCWV,and the white card i've embossed using "Swiss Dots" embossing folder.Everything else...ribbon,self adhesive gems and black dew drops from stash.
Not alot to this card really,i wanted a plain and simple card and that's what i've got....i'm happy with how it's turned out :0).

DT FOR DU2DS #13....SKETCH BY KIM....

Well it's that time of the week again..it's Friday.it's 5 to 5 and it's Crackerjack,couldn't resist that...lol,and if you're as old as me you'll know where i'm coming from! no it mean's it's time for another dare at DU2DS....this week we have a lovely sketch for you to follow by one of the DT Kim,thanks Kim i enjoyed working with this :0).

I've used one of Chris's (Sketching Stamper) images "Perfume Bottles),you can purchase this along with many other lovely images from HERE.When i first saw this image i knew exactly what i wanted to do with it,i think that happens with some images and it's great when it does!,i didn't want to add colour to it so just went over the lines and shading with a black Prisma,then cut the image out and raised it from the nestie panel with silicone gel.I've added glitter to two of the bottles,a pearl and adhesive gems to the others.I've used DCWV glittered card "The Alphabet Stack",the sentiment is WOJ and the tulle,hatpins and roses all from stash.

DU2DS DT CARD....."MAKE A SCENE".

Hi....today i'd like to share with you my DT card for DU2DS....this week the dare is "MAKE A SCENE".I've created mine using all digital images,the background is from the"Girl About Town"download set from Charmed Cards And Crafts,i've used Chris's (Sketching Stamper)"Vicki Shops" and the topiary and sentiment are from a Cuddly Buddly download "Doodletown".....all images have been coloured using Promarkers and Prisma's.Vicki and the topiary have been cut out and raised using silicone gel to give some dimension to the scene.Brads are Cosmo Cricket,gem's and ribbon from stash.Alittle glamour dust as been used on Vicki's butterfly broach and hair bands.

Well that's about it folks....hope you will all come and join in this week on the dare and a big thank you to everyone who joined us last week,we had a good response and some gorgeous creations...

TERRY'S CHOCOLATE ORANGE.....NO SAN'S CHOCOLATE ORANGE!!!

Well the theme this week at Dare U 2 Digi Stamp is "CHOCOLATE-ORANGE",gorgeous colour combo...for my DT card i've used one of Chris's (Sketching Stamper) images "Rosebuds",lovely image to work with and can be purchased HERE along with so many more fabulous ones.Iive coloured mine using Promarkers and Prisma's and then added some glamour dust to afew of the petals....the papers are all handmade and i think i've had them since the year dot!,i got them from Ebay when i first started crafting and never used them...well i forgot i'd got them untill i went looking for something else...lol.The double layer butterfly was cut using a Spellbinders die,the sentiment is by Personal Impressions...everything else ribbon,brads,gems and doily from stash.

We had a great response last week for our "Ribbon" dare...thanks to everyone who joined us,we all so enjoyed visiting your blogs and hope to see you all again this week...just alittle reminder you need to use one digi image on your project but this can be any companies image :0)

DU2DS...CHALLENGE 10...RIBBONS.

Challenge 10 at DU2DS...where have the weeks gone! this week our theme is "RIBBONS",so somewhere on your project we would like to see ribbon....well what a challenge :0),the only thing i could think of doing was making a bow...lol,then my little brain came up with this idea of using ribbon for curtains,so cut away the curtains from the image and voila....the image i've used is "Pretty Window" by the very talented Chris (Sketching Stamper),this along with many gorgeous images can be purchased from HERE.

I've coloured the image using Promarkers and Prisma's,all cardstock and paper is DCWV from the summer collection as is the corner...the paper i thought looked abit pebbled-ash.Ribbon from Hobbycraft,button and adhesive gen from stash,

Sentiment computer generated....all the stamps i've got and hadn't got a New Home one!

DARE U 2 DIGI STAMP.....SKETCH BY DONNA.

Well another week rolled round...where do they all go!,it's time for another dare at Dare U 2 Digi Stamp and this week we have a lovely sketch to follow designed by Donna one of the DT,must say a dream of a sketch to work with and one i will be using again....so thanks Donna you're a star!

For my card i've used the adorable "Tara" one of Chris's (Sketching Stamper) images,love this image and beautiful to colour,this along with many more gorgeous images can be purchased from HERE.I've coloured Tara using Promarkers and Prisma's,decided to have a change and do the background black...i really like out it's turned out....i've left it plain and simple,a bit like me...LOL,i must admit i tried some embellishments on it but felt it some how spoilt it,so left it as it is.The sentiment is Doodlebug rub-ons "All Mixed Up",and cut out using a Woodware file tab punch.

DARE YOU TO DIGI STAMP....."LILAC & LEMON"

Hi Everyone....another week gone by,dosen't time fly when you're having fun...lol,well it does when you're craftimg!this only means one thing that it's Friday and time for another "Dare" at Dare You To Digi Stamp which this week we have a theme of "LILAC & LEMON".

I've used one of Chris's (Sketching Stamper)images "Sweetpeas" from the "Lots Of Flowers Set" which you can purchase HERE,lovely images to work with.I've coloured mine using Promarkers and Prisma's cut out using nesties.There's no patterned paper on this card just several alternative layers of lemon and lilac cardstock distressed with a distressing tool and "Mustard Seed" and "Dusty Concord" Distress Inks.And under the image i've distressed a paper doily....not much left of it ...lol.

The fabric flowers are Papermania,buttons,beads,pearl head pins,ribbon and tiny roses from stash.

Lastly i punched a hole in each of the scallops on the base card and threaded a pale lemon raffia twine through.

That's about it...hope you will all come and join us again this week,thank you to everyone who took up the "Dare" last week.

DU2DS CHALL 6.....POST-PALS,GINGHAM and STITCHING.

This week at Dare You To Digi Stamp we have a very special challenge sponsored by Post-Pals,with a lovely prize on offer,in order to qualify for the prize which includes a Martha Stewart punch your card must be sent to child via the Post-Pal website....not alot to ask really :0).

The dare this week is "GINGHAM and STITCHING",real,faux...etc,your choice.

I've used an image of Chris's (Sketching Stamper) again this week for my DT card "Bearing Love" coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's,cut out and mounted onto nesties using silicone gel.I've cut is original ballons off and added my own (i haven't made them myself) to give some more dimension to the card.

The "Gorgeous Gingham" papers are Funky Fairy's,i've sewn the two colour ways together using my sewing machine to form patchwork,the trim in the corner and along the bottom i made using a Martha Stewart punch "Checker Border".

Sentiment is Papermania...Clare Curds sentiment set,ribbon from stash.

My card will be going to Zachary....it seems he likes balloons...hope he likes these :0)

DU2DS,CHALLENGE 5........SKETCH BY SANDRA.

Another Friday rolled round again...where do the weeks go!which means it time for another "DARE" at Dare You To Digi Stamp,this week we have a lovely sketch to follow my Sandra D,thank you Sandra....and also for the peas..lol,so hope you will all come and join us again,thank you to all who joined us last week i enjoyed checking out your fabby creations.

For my DT card this week i've used one of Chris's (Sketching Stamper) digi images,"Mini Love" from the "Lots Of Love Boys" set.....brilliant set and excellent value.

I've used Promarkers to colour the image and added some clear dew drops and dome circles for the lights.I've cut the image out and raised it alittle using silicone gel onto an embossed panel made using "Distressed Stripes" Cuttlebug folder.

The papers and textured card are DCWV from the Winter/Christmas set which i had from QVC.

The large gromet came with my Big Bite which i also purchased from QVC.

Black dew drops and ribbon from stash,"u passed" on the No plate 7 Gypsies rub ons.

That about sums it up....a very girly you've passed card,well it's not only males who pass their driving tests is it!!!!

All thats left to say is hope you'll all join us....don't forget you need to use one digital image on your card/project....this can be a digital image from any company...look forward to visiting you all,

DARE U-2-DIGI STAMP..."BLING"

Our challenge this week at DU2DS is "BLING",which could mean glitter,glitter glue,gems,metal etc...all we ask along with the theme is to use a digital image somewhere on your project,now the image can be from any company,so why not come and join in and let your creativity "SHINE" through...pardon the pun.

For my card i've used one of Chris's (sketching stamper) digi images "Vicky",printed off twice,then used the one image to cut the parts of her dress out,i then adhered some embossed foil paper to these pieces so that i could paper piece her dress...the foil catches the light really well,but couldn't capture this on the photo :0(.

The rest of the image was coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's.To glam Vicky up alittle more i added glitter to her hairbands and gave her a necklace and matching bracelet,which i used nail gems,these are minute compared the the adhesive gems i normally use butare more in propotion to the image.

To finish off i used some broad satin ribbon and a slider from my stash,the nail gems i used are "moonstone" which change blue/orange in the light hence the blue ribbon.

"DARE U-2-DIGI STAMP" LAUNCH......DT CARD.

Today is "Dare u-2-digi stamp" launch day WOOOO HOOO....as more and more of us are using digital downloads for our cards/creations this is a great challenge Blog to show them off.

To start you all off this week there's a lovely sketch to follow by Chris all that's asked of you is to use a digital image on you creation....this can be anybodies download.There's a great prize up for grabs this week too,Promarkers included.

For my card i've used one of Chris's (Sketching Stamper) digi stamps "Daisy Crazy" from the "Lots of Flowers" set,coloured with Promarkers and Prisma's cut out with nesties and 3d layered onto a background created with my "Texture" cuttlebug embossing folder.Once the card was embossed i then rubbed over with metallic rub-on.The sentiment is from Scrappy Cat,the pearl and beaded pearl trim are from stash.
