On this card, I used the Burlap Ribbon as a banner!  Read more about it on a recent blog post.

My friend and fellow demonstrator Heidi Vinkemeier used the Burlap Ribbon on this cute birthday card for guys - and cut it in half to fit in the space allotted!

Farewell to French Foliage

The good news?  The NEW Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog goes live on Friday afternoon, May 31st!  The sad news?  A TON of cool stuff will be retired and June 3rd is the last day to order.  One stamp set that I'm super bummed to see retired is French Foliage.  I love the versatility of this set and the artsy feel of the images.

Here's a card that I made using French Foliage - it was a hit with my CLOcards customers!

Besides the retiring French Foliage stamp set, other retiring products on this card include More Mustard ink and cardstock, Old Olive Scallop Dots ribbon, and Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper. You can find them all in the Retiring Products section in my Online Store.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted

Happy Easter, Everybunny!

Easter is finally coming soon!  All this wintery weather has gotten me to forget that!  This little dudette makes a sweet Easter greeter.  I made this card at a DOstamping class in February, and I really like how it turned out!

The glittery look comes from what Dawn Olchefske calls the Faux Diamond Dust technique.  It's pretty easy with Versamark ink and Iridescent Ice embossing powder!  And the raised, embossed design is gently sponged with Pool Party ink.

And the sweet little tulle flowers start out ivory and can be colored any shade you wish!  Just use a marker, blend with a blender pen, and attach with Gluedots.  I made my really blue - but you can use less marker to just barely tint the edges.

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Everybunny
Ink:  StazOn Jet Black, Versamark, Pool Party/Pretty in Pink/Daffodil Delight markers
Paper: Pool Party, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Extras:  Flower Trim,  Bird punch, Modern Label punch, Ovals framelits, Elegant Bouquet TIEF, Iridescent Ice embossing powder, sponge daubers, blender pens

Very Versatile Birthday

Hello, stampers!  Monday I showed the "Happy Birthday" stamp on the basketball card.  Today, I have a card for you that uses the main image from that same stamp set, Very Versatile.  Using a Q-tip, I dabbed color from the ink pad onto the  stamped image to create a fuller flower.

Christmas is Coming . . . got your STAMPIN' on?

Christmas is just around the corner for us stampers - do you have your card designed yet?  Maybe yours is already designed, stamped, and mailed!  Good for you.  That's what I try to do - but I've been so busy this year that mine are still on the craft table in pieces!

So I'll post a few of my ideas from years past in the next few days to get your creative juices going!  This card is created using a stamp I found for $1 in a clearance basket at a little shop in Marshall a couple years ago!  Love getting a great deal.

You can see a bit of the detail here - I used knotted rafia for the 'ribbon', sponged the wreath stamp in several shades of green, and added Dazzling Details glitter glue to the 'berries.'  The border stamped at the bottom uses Versamark ink and a wheel stamp which I removed from the wheel and attached to a clear block with Aleene's Tack It Over and Over.  I have an easier time getting the image straight if the rubber stamp is OFF the wheel!

All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted

Card Recipe
Stamps: Mistletoe (wheel, retired), wreath and words (unknown)
Ink: Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Handsome Hunter (retired)
Paper: Ruby Red, Handsome Hunter (both retired), Very Vanilla, Kraft (Target)
Extras: Rafia, Dazzling Details, Modern Label punch, Movers & Shapers label die (retired)
Inspired by: the stamps!

Sharing Time: Wonderfall Autumn

Wow, it's November!  And Thanksgiving is on its way.  Thank-you cards are some of my favorites to make AND send - I try to make it a regular habit to say 'thank you!'  This card was designed and offered by Dawn Olchefske at her DOstamping Card Class recently.  The Woodgrain embossing folder gives a nice backgroud - and even distresses the Core'dinations paper on the way through the Big Shot!  Love that - 2 effects at one time!  And the Champagne Glimmer Paper adds a nice contrast to the earthy feel of the card.

Be sure to click on Dawn's name below to see her original card and watch a quick video of her technique in cutting and stamping the leaf.

Thank YOU for sharing, Dawn!!!

Groom's Dinner Favors, comin' up!

Here are some pics of the favors I made for all the Groom's Dinner guests - about 50! It was fun and easy to do.  The only thing I'd do differently is fill them at the last minute!  I put Gummi Bears and Dots in them - and the sticky candy left little 'wet' spots here and there on the pillow boxes!  But not too badly.  I printed the names on white cardstock - the names were in columns and spaced out enough to allow room to punch them.  Be sure to leave a comment if you have any questions!
