Guest Heart Thursday #167

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!

Look at what I found on Deann, er, "Grannie Annie's" blog "The Whimsey Asylum" ...

Oh, this picture is more than just hearts and pretty faces!
It's a masterpiece! From one of my favorite heart-sisters!!!
Who is not only talented, but GORGEOUS as well!

((Seriously, Deann, did you think you could get away with sneaking this one in without us noticing???))

Thank you, dear friend, for sharing your heart!

I love it when JM sneaks a heart into one of his posts ...
Because then I get to feature it ... and YOU get to visit his amazing blog, "Lisbon and the Sunny Coast"!
Pretty soon you'll be like me - visiting Portugal whenever you get the chance!

Thank you, JM, for sharing your heart!

Another place I love to visit is "Marges8's Blog" - where I spend hours at a time just looking over the amazing and at times surprisingly sophisticated paper dolls!

And you thought I was too old to play with paper dolls!!!

NOT! And neither are you!

Thank you, Marlendy, for sharing your heart!

As always - a huge thank you to all who linked up with Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing the delightful and amazing hearts you found in your world!!!

Guest Heart Thursday #135

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!

From My Heart:::

Dad is still in the hospital; and the prognosis is not good.
He will be going into Hospice/Comfort Only care in the next few days.
He never regained his ability to swallow or talk ...
He can't tolerate a feeding tube.
Nor does he want one.
I apologize for not visiting everyone who linked up last week - I hope to carve out some time in the next few days to do so. I miss visiting your hearts - and can't wait to see what you've found in your worlds the past couple of weeks!

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
They are deeply appreciated.

Deann is an incredible artist -
And a wonderful friend. She is one of my adopted Heart-Sisters.

Deann's art inspires me; her humor lifts my heart.

Deann often incorporates hearts into her artwork ...
Which I love.

When you visit Deann over at "The Whimsey Asylum", be sure to look back over her older posts. You will laugh, and you will cry. You will fall in love with "Grannie Annie" - as I have!

Thank you, Deann, for sharing your heart!

As always - a huge thank you to all who linked up with Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing the delightful and amazing hearts you found in your world!!!

Guest Heart Thursday #118

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!

You may know Deann as "Grannie Annie" ...
If you love digital art, you should visit her blog, "The Whimsey Asylum".
Her work will inspire you.
Her sense of humor will make you giggle.
Her friendship will make you warm.

Thank you, Deann, for being my friend ... and for sharing your heart!

Jill has the best job in the world (according to me!). She is a field biologist, and travels the United States in search of nature.
And boy does she find it!!!

Jill's photography is exquisite, and you can find it - and more! - over at her wonderful blog, "Count Your Chicken! We're Taking Over!"

Thank you, Jill, for sharing your heart!

Pam is another wonderful friend, who captures the beauty of her world, which is near the ocean in Florida. Sigh.
When I need to relax at the ocean, or enjoy the peace of the natural world, I visit Pam. Her blog, "Nature Whispers" - whispers to my soul, and delights my heart.

Thank you, Pam, for being such a wonderful friend ... and for sharing your heart!

I found Rae by following a comment she left on Robert's "Daily Athens Photo" blog.

What I found was Rae's wonderful blog, "Perth and Other Places" - I love the beauty she finds in beautiful Australia - like this wonderful mural. If you enlarge the photo, you will even find hearts!!!

Thank you, Rae, for sharing Australia - and your heart!

Siga's blog, "My Canary Life" is a joy.
Her beautiful photos, along with the always-perfect quotes she usually adds, are spectacular - and make me long to visit her world for myself!!!

Thank you, Siga, for sharing your Island ... and your heart!

As always - a huge thank you to all who linked up with Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing the delightful and amazing hearts you found in your world!

Guest Heart Thursday #110

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!

I love how Beth sees the world ...

We found this interesting graffiti heart when we went for a walk over at "The Abandoned".
I've seen this heart many times ... I probably even have a picture of it in my files.

What Beth captured, however, is a different feeling than I saw ...
She saw this as a happy heart - taking flight!

Thank you, sissie-kins, for sharing your heart!

When I saw Brianne's nutty hearts over at "This is My Offering", I couldn't help but smile.
Because they are awesome ... and perfect ...
They show the beautiful and whimsical side of nature!

Thank you so much, Brianne, for sharing your heart!

Deann over at "The Whimsey Asylum" is a most amazing artist ...
Her (mostly) digital art is wonderful and quirky - you really have to look at each masterpiece she creates for a long time before you see everything she has included!

She is also a wonderful lady who is a good friend.

Thank you, Deann, for sharing your heart!

Another wonderful artist who has become a good friend is Darlene over at "A Dancing Mango".
She has been busy lately, following her heart ... and I've missed her!

Darlene posted this picture of her darling friend Izzie a while back ... complete with a heart hanging over her head!

Thank you, Darlene, for sharing your heart.
(P.S. - Welcome home!)

Beth and my little "Honey Heart" made me cry last week.
You see, each week they spend a day together, and go for a walk.
While they are walking, they search for hearts, which Beth posts on her blog "Expect the Unexpected".

Beth's description of how my precious niece found this sunshine heart brought a flow of tears.
I am humbled and honored.

Thank you, sissie and "Honey Heart" - for sharing your hearts!

As always - a huge thank you to all who linked up with Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing all of the delightful and amazing hearts you found in your world!

Guest Heart Thursday #80

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A place to share YOUR heart!

Deann, AKA Grannie Annie is amazing. We met shortly after I started blogging - and have decided that we must be related ... sisters-with-different-parents-who-have-never-met and all.
When you visit Deann's blog "The Whimsey Asylum", you will see that she is a wonderful artist as well as a great friend ... the digital art she creates boggles my mind. Her wonderfully wicked sense of humor delights my soul.

Thank you, Sissie-Dea, for sharing your heart!

Dani is my dear heart-sister. She lives in Macedonia and is going to school in China.
The hearts she finds in her world make me smile, and sometimes bring me to tears.

Dani is taking a break from blogging for a while, but will continue to send hearts via e-mail, and I will continue to share them with you.
"Life certainly is not easy, but it is beautiful." ... I will miss you so much, dear friend. You hold a special place in MY heart.

Thank you, dear Dani, for sharing your heart!

If you love nature and photography, you will LOVE Judy's blog, "Lilac Gate".
Judy is an amazing photographer, and her macros are spectacular.
And look at this beautiful sunflower heart she found!

Thank you, Judy, for sharing the beauty of your world - and for sharing your heart!

Lois is another dear blogging friend. Her blog, "Tallahassee Daily Photo" is part of the hugely popular and fun "City Daily Photo" series of blogs.

One of the first guest hearts I posted was this beautiful Spanish moss heart that Lois found. It's been one of my favorites for a long time!

Thank you, Lois, for sharing your City ... and your heart!

Michelle is a gifted artist whose work amazes and inspires me.
You will see what I mean when you visit her blog "Mouse House ART" -
But be sure, when you start looking back at her work, to cover your keyboard ... I know I must have drooled all over mine (her "paint chip art" is absolutely AWESOME!)

Michelle's mom found this heart rock on the beach in California ... complete with two perfect hearts, a circle and a diamond - all made by wind, waves and critters!!! I got goosebumps when I saw this on Michelle's blog!!!

Thank you, Michelle (and Michelle's mom) for sharing your heart!

One world. One people. One heart.

As always - a huge thank you to all who linked up with Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing all of the delightful and amazing hearts you found in your world!

Guest Heart Thursday #53

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A place to share YOUR heart!!!

Susannah (you may know her as "Wanderin' Weeta") is one of those people who has forever changed the way I look at the world.
She sees the tiny beauty in her own world ... things I never ever would have thought to look for - until now.
When Susannah finds a heart, I KNOW it is going to be unique!

Thank you, Susannah, for changing my life ... and for sharing your heart!

Gemma over at "Gemma's 'Greyscale Territory' Poetic Songlines" is a wonderful photographer, and a great friend. When you visit her blog, which I highly recommend, make sure you read the Haiku she includes in every post. I've never seen anyone paint such beautiful word pictures ... with so few words.

Thank you, Gemma, for sharing your Haiku ... and your heart.
You are AMAZING.

Another wonderful friend and artist ... Darlene at "A Dancing Mango".
Besides being an amazing artist (check out the sidebar on her blog!) ... Darlene is one of the nicest, sweetest and kindest people in Blogland, I am honored to know her.

Thank you, Darlene, for the inspiration you are to me ... and for sharing your heart!

When you visit Jeannette over at "Mysteries", you are in for a treat. Her blog is a happy place ... with wonderful photos (and more!) full of beauty, and fun.

But if you want to see the STUNNING side of Jeannette, you need to visit her other blog ... "Art Notes". And prepare to be AMAZED (and that's all I'm going to say -- you'll see what I mean!)!!!

Thank you, Jeannette, for sharing your heart ... and soul.

Deann's "Whimsey Asylum" is another place I love to hang out. Deann is yet another FANTASTIC artist, whose digital artwork is stunning.

And she doesn't think I notice how many hearts find their way into her work!!!

Thank you, Deann, for your friendship ... and your heart.

One world. One people. One heart.

As always - huge thank you to all who participated in Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing all of the delightful hearts you found in your world! Here's to another wonderful heart seeking year!

Guest Heart Thursday #38

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A place to share YOUR heart!

What I first noticed about Carole's "Noteworthy Musings" blog were her photos. They are wonderful! As I read through her older posts, I came to love her sweet spirit, wonderful sense of humor, and her view of life.

It wasn't until much later, after getting to know her, that I realized we live in the same state!
Then things got a little spooky ...
Turns out we spent several years as teenagers ... living within shouting distance of each other!
Possibly even met a few times!

During one of Carole's visits to a local arts and crafts show, she came across this beautiful dress - with the heart on top. Do you see the second heart here?

Thank you, Carole, for sharing your hearts today!

Carmelina is one of the most amazingly creative people I have had the honor to meet via Blogland. Her blog "Creative Carmelina" is a treasure trove of wonder!

Can you guess how she uses these gorgeous little cushions she made (with the cute little hearts)?
They are needle tags! What a wonderful idea!

Thank you, Carmelina, for sharing your talent - and your hearts!

I was introduced to Dave Bonta's blog "Via Negativa" by Susannah over at "Wanderin' Weeta". What an amazing person he is!

I have only had the chance to skim through his posts, but look forward to having the time to spending a LOT more time doing so!

Thank you, Dave, for sharing your heart!

Halcyon of "Halcyon Travels" has been in Berlin this winter ... she lost her Father-in-Law
These flowers from his funeral, covered with newly fallen snow, show so much love.

May the New Year bring joy and happiness to you, my friend.

Thank you, Halcyon, for sharing the beauty of your heart ... even amidst the grief and pain of life.

Grannie Annie (AKA Deann) is one of my Blog-sissies, and I am stunned and amazed at the beauty that flows from her fingertips. You can see her talent over at her blog "Whimsey Asylum".

This is a collage Deann made for an art challenge. She calls it "A Little Slice of Heaven". I agree with this title!

But I also agree with Deann's comment ... "What I want to know is...just who's idea of heaven is heaven going to be...and can it really be heaven if there is no chocolate?"

Thank you, Sissie-Dea, for sharing your heart!

As always - huge thank you to all who participated in Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing all of the delightful hearts you found in your world!

Happy New Year to you all!
May the hearts that find you this coming year warm you -
heart and soul.

Guest Heart Thursday #29

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday!
A Place to Share YOUR Hearts!

When I visited Sheryl's recent Weekend Reflections post on Tapirgal's Daily Image ... little did I know I was going to find she had posted this amazing glass heart ...

Sheryl found this delicate purple and gold heart in Tacoma, Washington, where it is part of Dale Chihuly's Bridge of Glass.

Thank you, Sheryl, for sharing this gorgeous heart.

You never know what Beth is going to find at The Abandoned!

Like this beautiful and delicate yarrow heart ...

Thank you, Beth, for sharing your heart!

Darlene at A Dancing Mango is one of the most amazing artists I've ever had the privilege to meet. She works in many different mediums, and each creation is unique and gorgeous.
She's working on some dolls now that you just HAVE to go see!

She found an old beat up and ugly kitchen clock ... and turned it into this gorgeous work of art - complete with hearts for numbers!

Thank you, Darlene, for sharing your heart!

Laura over at Shine the Divine: Creativity is a Spiritual Practice found this shadowy heart-shaped portal and invites us to Enter the Mystery ...

Laura is going through pain I can only imagine, yet her words of love and encouragement continue to inspire me.

Thank you, Laura, for sharing your heart ... and your wisdom.
You certainly do Shine the Divine!

Deann at The Whimsey Asylum posted this, er, unique graphic artwork as part of a challenge called "Forbidden Love". She based it on a "strange" picture she found on Wikipedia, and felt it was too funny and bizarre to pass up. If you haven't checked out Deann's digital collages ... well, you really should. She is an amazing artist.

Thank you, Deann, for sharing your unique heart!

A huge thank you to all who participated in Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing the amazing hearts you found in your world!

Guest Heart Thursday #28

Beth ... what can I say ... when I see this picture, I long to be there - at the beach.

Catching gorgeous heart clouds frolicking above the pounding surf.

Check out Beth's blog "Expect the Unexpected" to see more gorgeous photos taken by this awesome artist.

And thank you, sissie, for sharing your heart.

Let me introduce you to Faye. She is a delightful artist who posted this gorgeous heart art as part of a Wednesday Stamper challenge.

I didn't have time to go very far back into Faye's blog, "Faye's Blog for Art Challenges" - but am looking forward to doing that very soon!

Thank you, Faye, for sharing your hearts!

I was Google Mapping to get directions to a doctor's office in a town to the South of me, and decided to "follow" the route.

Boy am I glad I did. I sure didn't see these hearts from the freeway - even though they are just a couple of miles south of where I live!!!

What can I say about Deann. Her art jumps off the page and into my heart.
And yet she has no idea how talented she is!!! Can you believe it?
If you don't believe me, check out her work at the Whimsey Asylum.

Thank you, Sissie-Dea, for sharing your heart.

And thank you for the encouragement you have given me.
You know what I mean!
I love you!

Dani, in her WONDERFUL blog 'A Lovely Home For Hearts', posted this bamboo heart.
At first glance, it's a cool carved heart.
Until I realized ... this cool carved heart ... is halfway around the world from me!!!
The words of love are in a language I don't understand!

Thank you, Dani, for sharing your hearts ... and for reminding me how small the world really is ... for being such a huge place!

Thank you all for your kind words, healing thoughts and prayers for me during my battle with the dreaded flu bug. I am feeling so much better now, and appreciate you all so much.

A huge thank you to all who participated in Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing the amazing hearts you found in your world!

Guest Heart Thursday #24

Grannie Annie's talent in mixed media and collage art amazes me.
She has become a true friend.
A sister even.

She posted this autumn collage that she created (see, I TOLD you she is amazingly talented!) on her blog The Whimsey Asylum.
I don't think she noticed the two pumpkin hearts.

Thank you, Sissie-Dea, for sharing your beautiful talent and hearts!

Jay Leigh's Pacific Northwest Nature For Families blog is awesome.
She sees so much.
But not only does she see the beauty of nature around her ...
She shares it with us all!

When she visited the fair ... look what she found!
A pig with hearts!

Thank you so much, Jay Leigh, for sharing your hearts.

I adore the name of Lyneen's blog ... I Am Dreaming of Castles.
Lyneen is a very talented artist, who not only makes beauty in her own art, but inspires others to create beauty as well.
I know she inspires me!
I was enjoying her older posts, when I found this heart.
On a set of stamps from Stampin'D Amour.
But be sure to visit her blog to see the other hearts she has found.

Thank you, Lyneen, for sharing your hearts

Cheryl is halfway through her year-long challenge ... March to March.
One of her posts was this beautiful "Kissing Clouds Heart".

Cheryl, I've said it before and I will say it again -- but I can never say how much I appreciate you. I can only hope you never get tired of hearing it!

Thank you for sharing your year ... and your hearts.

Carole over at Noteworthy Musings found this amazing recycled art at a show this past spring. I don't think she realized ...

One of these yard ornaments ... is a heart!

Thank you, Carole, for sharing these beautiful ornaments ... and for this amazing heart.

A huge thank you to all who participated in Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing the amazing hearts you found in your world!
